I did the original inspection and cleaning.
Then a couple weeks later I showed the new owner how to do a complete tear down, clean and relube.
Three months later the gun is sold to another team member...for cheap.
I was a little confused...but the gun was returned to me for a cleaning and board swap.
OMG! Get a drink after the first thing i notice...
So I get past my whole dumb founding contemplation of the amount of effort needed to complete such damage without ripping ones body or frame to shreds.
Then I start taking things apart for cleaning.
Things look good, the Glad is normal...as is the LPR. They look pretty good actually showing very little signs of oring wear.
Remove ram....PANIC! :aah:
Drink...relax...remove valve...remove ram housing cry.
This is what I got. A touching mixture of Malitia Lube and dirt...might have been sand...who knows.
Keep in mind this gun was still working. Ug.
Well, cleaned her up, swaped the boards and now she is back in the arms of a team member shooting poor hapless souls. Just a little esier to shoot right handed now!
