No. Not at all. They rank up there as one of the crappiest bands I have had the displeasure of hearing. The vocals are absolute poo. They should be ashamed for making that.

Its like 80's butt rock had an illegitimate child. And that illegitimate child still sucks at life as much as his butt rock father.

Haha the vocals are the best part. Metal is to serious about its self.

See... I'm more of a technical fan. I like music that is technically good, and has solid vocals. That is just some BUTT TOQUE screaming because he cannot sing.

Bro, if you like the 80s-esque guitar riffs, look into some Nightwish or Sonata Arctica or something. Some of the euro stuff is a little less hardcore than the American stuff. Still, I like the Disturbed and Rob Zombie too, so I see no problems with American metal.

As for the "sickest", I hope you mean tone-deafness is now a disease.

3 Inches of Blood isn't the worst band out there at all... but with the pop and hardcore music scenes, that's not saying much. (I saw White Chapel live and besides the drummer, it's the same damn crappy down-tuned riffs over and over).

That said though, "sickest band out their" is giving them way too much credit. But they're definitely tolerable.

As for metal being too serious, everything is good. Mastodon isn't that serious and they're awesome. But seriousness and quality are two different things.

And props to the In Flames comment.

Don't worry I know of them and every other band posted so far.

I'm looking for stuff that has Primal fear and maiden type lyrics but with a newer twist.
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward.
Whoever cannot take care of themself without that law is both.
For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I Live, I will kill you, If I Die, You are forgiven."

There is a Maiden influence in 3 Inches of Blood for sure, but I always found the lyrics the weakest part of Iron Maiden. Always thought they were cheesy. But Steve Harris... is the man!
