Well, it depends what you do with your trigger. If you can walk it, you need those two fingers bare. I pump, so I use the "FG" firm grip fake leather gloves, with all fingers on. It stops my hands getting dirty if I touch a painted bunker, dirt, and it gives me a nice grip on the pump handle. I don't really need to pull the trigger that quick, so they work well. They have knuckle and top hand padding, and if you need, you can easily cut off fingers. They're like $10.

EDIT: BTW, they;re from home depot.

meh, even when i play pump i still like fingerless gloves....i get a better feel for everything

I use wr football gloves. They rock when you play pump because of the grip you have on the pump handle (they are under armor so they look cool ;)).

Conclusion: I highly recremend football gloves for pump play...

Got a pair of Black Leather Full Fingered & Padded Tactical Gloves with a Suede Palm that I bought from the Rap4.com Store 2 years ago, they were $25 when I bought them and its $50 cheaper than what most Police Uniform Stores sell them for.

got a new quesiton: how does one size their hands for paintball gloves?

pants come with a nifty little "if you're this fat use these pants" scale, but not for gloves.
"A good solution applied with vigor now is better than a perfect solution applied ten minutes later." -General George S. Patton, Jr.

If the person on the other end of your gun does not walk away from the game eagerly anticipating the next game because of your actions, you have failed as a paintballer. Put this in your sig to help spread the word.

If there was a fire in your house, and the first thing you would grab is your paintball gear, put this in your sig. (good thing i keep my bible in the car)

Myself and about 90% of my team all use Invert Gloves. I think there awesome, they don't stain your hands and i have had balls bounce of my knuckles a few times now.

are they comfortable and still let you move your hand easily? what about a nice grip on your gun?

Yes on comfortable, Yes on nice grip.

No, on move your hand, at least the fingers. I had to cut off the the index, and middle fingers off at the hand to allow me to walk the trigger without slowing down.

Measure the distance from the tip of your middle finger to the base of your hand.

so, its time to upgrade my gloves.

are all gloves the same? or does one brand stand out from the others?

What kind of gloves are you looking for?

Blackhawk gloves are extremely comfortable, and a pair will last you for years. They're also $50 or more per pair.

I really like Extreme Rage's gloves. They're $10 a pop and feel great. I've heard that they have turned people's hands black before, but I've never seen it.

That is true. My friend has a pair and every time he paintballs afterwards his hands are totaly black, like somone rubbed charcole all over them. Kind of funny, but it doesnt wash off

The reason i say tippmanns work well here, especially with flatlines is because its common knowledge that they let off a sonic boom every time they fire. I tend to use that to my advantage -lethalpanther

The Black Dye can be washed off a person's hands by scrubbing, had the same problem with my Leather Tac Gloves when I first used them in the rain, when I got home I used a soft srcubbing dishwashing pad on my hands and removed the Dye.

I wear $7 Mojo Paintball fingerless gloves. Excellent gloves.

Ha since we have this going,

I use Under Armor white and black Baseball Batting gloves With PMI fingerless "armor plated" backing over them

"armor plated"--IDK its like formed plastic on the backside thats raised and looks like armor lol (helps for those back of the hand shots, and yes i somehow got shot there with my hand bhind my back), very nice leather palm, worn in too cuz they were my brothers, and i dont walk the trigger anyway, my gun isnt made for it (trigger pull is too heavy to do it effectivly), so layering my gloves doesnt bother me

edit-- Overall, thats maybe 30$, but it was free since they were both old pairs of gloves.

Dye Meta Gloves.
It's like you're not wearing a glove, but you still get that protection on your hands.

The Empire Freedom glove is really nice (I might get those this winter since I'm tearing up my Meta's). Eclipse has a similar style called the 'Gauntlet'.

For crappy weather, I wear BT Sniper gloves. Full finger, comfortable, and great grip. Mechanix also makes really good gloves.
My job is to be an asshole. I excel at the position.
