I have played with an Ego, and I must say it surely beats my A5, hands down. The ETek would most likely be the same, they are essentially the same marker.
They are very reliable, shoot incredibly fast and are very accurate. They are lightweight as well, and better for off hand shooting.
If you get a chopped ball in an A5, you can kiss the rest of your day goodbye. You will never get it clean enough, in the field, for accurate fire. With a tourney marker, a couple of swabs and maybe a backup hopper, and you are done.
I have tried a remote and T2W, but it is far too constrictive and makes it almost impossible to shoot off hand quickly. This denies you half the field, which is a real disadvantage.
It does make it even lighter, so it is swings and roundabouts. It depends how you play.

For scenario games, I recently bought a couple of Egos for some extra firepower. Greatest investment I made, they are so consistent and dead on accurate. I thought about getting Eteks, shot a couple of them and they are good. Reliable and effective. But I thought of getting some used Egos. Even a 08 that has been used is an excellent deal.
