a while back there was news on specialops about a t.v show comeing out it was called arm chair commandos..... they had already shot there pilot episode and everything i watched it, but its been nearly 9 mnts now and it still hasint come on air, whats the deal ? anyone have any news? or does anyone even know what im talking about?

SpecOps had to downsize pretty dramatically some time back, and this is one of the projects put on hold and/or canceled.

Only a little. SpecOps has decided to focus more on their primary goal: sales (the same as any other manufacturing company). So while they were cool, making videos and podcasts that generated exactly zero revenue and cost quite a lot of money, it just wasn't a good business decision to keep it around.

I get it, cut their losses and move foward with more of a primary goal such as the manufacturing, marketing and sale of their gear. It makes sence from their prospective. Hopefuly if the econemy begins to pick up some, things will get better.

Precisely. I myself would love to see some of the multimedia items they offered come back. It's just not currently feasible.

Sure, they acted as a sort of creative advertising, but when the cost to make them FAR outweighed the cost-to-profit margin, it was just too much for the time being.

Not to mention, some people who simply thought they were OWED these videos, etc., just because SO decided to put them on the website. These were the same people who never paid a dime towards the production of the stuff, and (outright said) that the developers should do them purely for free. Kinda leaves a bad taste in the mouth, you know?
