Roughly $15 total for the 3 cans and a clear coat.
Thats the only input there was - the rubber bands were from the mail :(.

Sweet, I'm a bit on the broke side, but something like this sounds affordable. I've got all kinds of random crud sitting around useless.

Had my doubts when I first started reading. But it ended up working out. Doesn't look half bad. I would add some fake leafs or real one from outside, or even real blades of grass and shove them around under the rubber bands. Remember, Mother Nature does use to many straight lines.

actually that came out pretty nice!

instead of using less black, to hide it but use it, use thin bands for the black, and for some of the darker browns. it will break it up a bit more.

Well, I would've put the dark-green last and used actual grass and put it on it AFTER you layed down a primer so that it would stick.
