I just recently bought a vest from spec ops but i also have that exact nxe pod pack and was thinking that to use my ghillie still id just secure it to my vest and when i wanted to go prone set up the bipod and wait id just drape it over me. . is this a bad idea?

is your ghillie detatchable or like a cape? if it is then that would be fine, you just have to make sure its big enought to cover your vest.

Just buy a density upgrade kit and zip tie the ghillie straight to your vest. No draping etc. You dont want to get pinned down in a spot and not be able to move cause your hiding under a veil.

but to answer your question, I don't know if anyone has tried it, but I hope they wouldn't. The material that makes up the base of the action ghillie is similar to basketball shorts. It's really breathable and light. So there shouldn't be a need to cut out the back.
