Has anyone used one of these in game yet? I'm in the market for a new vest because I'm losing and intend to conitinue losing a lot of weight and my rap4 tactical ten vest is just too loose on me now. The real Molle and the harness style belt under the vest looks like I could really pile the paint on my rig and be ready to go. Right now my primary harness is an NXE 3+2+2 and that's just not suitable for the big games that AG/Canobie in NH run, let alone defending at fall castle. Not enough paint and no slots for a backup air-tank (I run on gun, I like having a spare bottle in case I forget to fill back up. This is especially important with the old siphon-tube co2 bottles my stingray and Montneel can't run without.)

I'm particularly interested in the static vest which appears to be a basic back-rig with molle on the shoulder straps.

I haven't heard anything bad about BT vests but if you want the best of the best then check out FULL CLIP vests.. they're really expensive but from what I hear worth every penny.. I'm eventually going to get the LMAV

www.fullclipusa.com

and for the exact same stuff but cheaper go to www.shop.tactical-customs.com

I love my broadsword, fits snug and hold enough paint for me. Plus it holds any air tank I can find :D. Let's waste some cheap paint. I've had no experience with BT vests, although I'd think you could find something better. Be open to research.

I hate to be a jerk, but I am only interested in info about the BT tactical vests, I don't care about any of the other vests, at least not in the context of this thread. I personally hate those 'This versus this versus this' threads. I may be a newbie on this board but I'm a veteran poster on MCB and a few other websites, I can do research on the other stuff, the problem is I cannot find any info on this particular brand of vest yet.

Because they're brand-spanking new probably. give it a month or three.

We danced among the lightning bolts,
and tore the world asunder.

I think you will have to wait a while for reviews. Personally, I think they look great. They combined a lot of great features/designs from other vests on the market. All of BT's products look great in my opinion.

If you haven't seen these videos, watch them.

My crew and I checked out all the BT vests at D-Day. They look great and they're very well made. Heavy stitching and good materials.

i just picked up my bt merc vest yesterday. my local store just got them in. i am not sure of the vest's official release date, but it couldn't have been that long ago.

very well made! the seams are all double stitched and everthing appears to be quality material. the mesh is not as rigid as the mesh on my old recon 6. it's more like football jersey material.
the internal belt system is awesome! first, there is the normal belt, like the recon or dagger has. then there is a second, wider belt that goes over the first. it reall snugs things up.
there is only one camo pattern availabe (at this time?). it's a digi-camo, and it is darker than the special-ops digi. this camo is on the pouches only, as the base vests are green.

the only thing i have had a problem with is mounting the bottle pouch horizontally; how is this done? i am new to the molle system (all my other vests had fixed pockets). it has the two, long straps that allows it to mount vertically, but their website clearly states that it can be mounted horizontally. i e-mailed them, but i haven't heard back.
does anyone know how to do this?

so far, i really like this vest, even better than my recon 6. i have a couple of weeks before i can take it out for it's maiden game, but i think it will preform great.

i will try and post a review at that time...

I actually ordered one of the molle pod pouches to attach to the vest I have currently just so I can get an idea of the quality of construction. If I"m not impressed I can just buy a 20 dollar molle vest from cheaperthandirt. I have a couple friends who just left the military who actually really like those vests.

Resurrecting a thread I know, but I just got one of the static vests. I tried it on and it fits, I can't get it to bounce around and it looks very nice.

The only issue is the molle straps on the shoulder straps. They were set up to be aesthetic and tend to fit a little too tightly on some of the straps. It took a bit of struggling to get the ID pouch where I wanted it. I'll put up a full review after Castle Conquest. For now I'm just happy to have a pack that will hold 8 pods comfortably. Sure my old rap4 vest would hold ten but six of 'em would be in the way of my elbows when I was playing with my marker.

The Merc vest looks like a standard MOLLE vest with all the paintball bells and whistles we've come to expect. Looks good actually. I personally have used the harness style vest. Was good, felt like a larger dagger, and wasn't too hot. Good stuff actually.

I have been heavily considering getting a static vest. Are you happy enough with it to recommend it.
