Hello, I've been playing paintball for awhile and have noticed that it can be awfully hard to use my Marker's Iron-sights with my mask on. So my question is:"What is the best mask that allows a combination of, comfort, Protection, mobility, and breathability." I would really like a better mask, I have a very accurate marker and good paint, but my accuracy is compromised at medium/long range because of my mask!

the grills or E-vents one of them is hard plastic that wont allow the mask to bend.. get someone to clarify on which mask.

personally I like the Proto Axis. great mask, its a softyish hard rubber that bends in the cheeks but not anywhere else.
the Axis has a really nice lense and huge field of vision.. but its a little big -> fits my big head.

Best thing to do, go out and TRY ON. the masks. serously, i really wanted an E-vent but after having them on my head It drove me insane. I hated the feeling of it. Grills were a little better IMO but nothing compared to the comfort I got from the Axis googles.. hence why I have them.

A mask is as personal prefrence of a Marker, A barrel, cammies, how you like your steak cooked. everything comes down to how you like it.

Well part of the question was mobility and such, like I stated I was having a hard time using my Iron-sights because my mask didn't allow me to. Thank you for the post, I'll definately take these masks into consideration.

the Grillz or Events are great masks, both of them soft rubber, but i found that the Grill was a bit harder. i personally own the Event of the white variety. it dont blend well in the woods, but for some reason, i am able to get close enough for people to say " oh crap!!", and by then, i already have my gun up. i dont think the mask is all the problem though. what kind of stock do you have on the gun? some stocks give better sight clearance than others. also, do you wear camoflauge or bright colored jerseys/ clothing? anything you can tell us will help.

I have an Kingman Spyder E-MR-1, its stock is just kinda straight out (which doesn't give much room to use it's sights in the first place) Look up a picture of it, you'll see it's stock. I wear Army ACU's. and a JT ( i think) full head mask.

I bought a Proto Switch EL, pretty good mask in my opinion. Best mask I've ever gotten.

Right now I am using the V-Force Grills mask and i love it. It has a wide view of the playing field, and easy access to changing the lenses if you need to. The mask is nice and light weight so it won’t disturb you well you play. The mask covers up a lot of your face so you don’t really have to worry about getting hit on the bare skin, it also comes with ear protection pads, that clip on to the mask to help add more comfort. The mask is really easy to breathe in and has never fogged up on me; the mask design is great and comes in a wide range of colors to match where you play. I find it to be a great mask and worth every penny.

don't get ventz. they are heavy and don't ventilate well. I use a proflex and they are by far the most comftorable mask i've ever owned. they are light, costomizable, breathable, and of course thermal lensed(they will not fog i reffed in a very humid cave for a year and it never fogged. the thermal ventz lense... thats another story) get a proflex. grillz are nice too but proflexes are more comftorable.

I have the digi events and love them!!! When i bought a new mask it was between the Grillz and the Events. The problem that i had with the grillz is that if feels that my chin was sticking out. Many people i've talked to have felt the same way. The Events are great the only time they have ever fogged was a day when we got about 5 inches of rain in an hour but other than that amazing!!!!!!!
