Also in the article is a picture of a gentleman named Tyger Rubin (Our Tyger?).

It's all true - SP has now patented Tyger and will sue if anybody clones him.

I don't think it's necessary to defend APG MaDuce. I may have seen my first naked chick in a Playboy, but I don't credit the mag with my .. well nevermind. But don't defend something that isn't worth defending. APG has horrific spelling errors. And grammar issues. I can't stand that stuff in publications. Drives me nuts.

I do appreciate the general attitude of the mag that describe, just not the execution.

1. I discussed APG's many flaws in my post.

2. Regular paintballers boycotting the publication won't really hurt the magazine much as it is geared towards 10 year old kids who see a milsimed Tippmann on the cover in the checkout isle and beg their moms to buy it. Every issue of APG explains pb terminology and features articles that are importaint and interesting for new players. Most other paintball magazines expect their readers to know the lingo and have a good grasp of paintball under their belts. Once those newbies get in the swing of things then they will probably move on to magazines like "Splat," "PB2X," "Facefull" etc.

3. The magazine, despite it's editing errors, reinforces values like safety and fair play, and that is worth defending.

Right, which is what I have been saying.

EDIT: Spelling and grammar. :D :P

all this hullaballooo.. lol.

well to add fuel to the fire, i saw in APG where they evaluated the F8 after i had bought one (still have it), and they said it could reACH 15 BPS... NO MENTION OF THE 25BPS CAPABILITY OUTA THE BOX. a pretty big selling point for me.

Fair enough dude. I'm just saying that if they want to put out a publication that reinenforces safety and fair play (which I am all for) then do it right. It doesn't take a lot of effort to edit. I am a high school teacher, and I'd edit the articles for free! You hear that? If it means coherent sentences and error-free articles, I'll do it!

Thats kinda pathetic if you ask me. Shouldn't a magazine at least research those type of things? Thats a mistake that shouldn't be made.

It's just a typo, it Happens.

Don't editors check these things as well or do they just read one line in the whole magazine and say; "Okay we are good to go!" and print.

And yes Spell Check ftw.
