EDIT: NVM. SneakyBags carry the rifle discreetly. The one that holds the magazines is the Terrorist Interdiction Bag.
I like a basic Magazine Bandoleer. Very low key, compact, light, and affordable. Stuffs in a backpack or under a truck seat easily.

I like the looks and simplicity of this bag:
Captioned on the website simply as "Military surplus bag" So I imagine you can find it at a gunshow somewhere for 10 bucks or less.

I think I have a few of those mags also...Seems like there's a big influx of minty euro com-block mags coming thru.

Here is the company that I got the mags from. They appear to be the korean ones.

Been a while since I've been on the Forums, USNA keeps me pretty busy. I made the High Power Rifle Team here and have enjoyed shooting NRA/CMP matches, but I don't have my own rifle and the season is winding down for us. Once the year is over, I won't have access to my rifle in the armory. So I plan on buying my own. The question is, what to buy? One of the guys on the team turned me towards the Bushmaster DCM rifle because I can still get a Juniors discount to like 800.00. We shoot Armalites, but they're pretty pricey for the Midshipman budget i'm on right now. A lot of guys were shooting RRA rifles this weekend at Fleets, but those are almost the same price as the Armalites and for the money I'd rather get an AR. Is the Bushmaster going to be a good bet (with an RRA trigger group) or is there a better deal out there? I'm planning on talking with our coach about helping me track down some parts, he helped one of our 2/C Mids build an RRA/ Armalite rifle not too long ago for a bit less than market value.

What style AR you looking for? National Match? Standard A2 rifle? Carbine? Mil-spec or commercial? Budget?
S&W M&P's are some affordable carbines (the 5.56 Sporter is just over 6 bones) and for a relatively inexpensive build Del-Ton makes some VERY affordable kits in various configurations.
Bushy's are alright, but I'd really go to local gun stores, Armslist, GunBroker, etc and see if you can get a better brand rifle used. Rock River and Colt would be two of my top recommendations.
Odd. I saw some @ the gun show labeled as East Euro @ 2/$25. Looked clean enough.

No idea what origin they are, I looked at a chart and they looked like all the other mags listed russian polish etc. They may be east europe for all I know. I am just hoping they dont have as significant mag wobble as my current mags have.
wish I could help you but I am not very informed on ARs. Maybe looking into building one from scratch, I think you can build on fairly nice for pretty cheap.
