One more day of work, and then I'm off for a full week of vacation.

Let the shooting and reloading commence :D

I get a 5-day weekend next week. Think I'll price a new gun or knife while I'm shopping for a new truck. With these new paychecks, I'll have more cash to put towards the hobbies.

Sounds like a deal.

What stuff are you looking at pricing?

In other news, my dad made me aware of an NRA certified instructors course on the 13th that he's going to. If I take the class I'll be legally qualified to train and certify people on the Minnesota permit to carry course, and I'm planning on doing it if time allows (I've got the funds for sure).

Thinking we might start up a small training business on the side. If nothing else, we'll get to certify ourselves for permit to carry for renewals. Might get into some other training certifications from there if all goes well.

EDIT: Well, I'm registered now. Going to become a certified instructor in Minnesota.

Good deal T. Might look into something like that myself one of these days.

As far as pricing stuff, probably gonna stick to pricing shotguns and .22 bolt guns, and scanning the Armslist classifieds for good deals on local guns. I'd love to find a good deal on a handgun, but most of those deals are upstate.

Might see if I can track down some SOG or Cold Steel folders for a new carry knife. Gotta be durable, I destroy normal folders. Preferably with a 4-5" blade.

And for vehicles, I'm keeping an eye out for Ford and Dodge trucks (preferably extended cab), and Jeeps, either a Wrangler or Liberty.

EDIT: Then hell freezes over. I bump over to Armslist to see . . .

Kimber TLE RL Pro II (Commander sized 1911 with Rail and tritium sights) in Fayetteville. But it's a couple hundred out of my range ATM. :(

And Glock 22 in Fayetteville, which is closer to my price range. But I'm probably looking at a down payment on a car next week, AND I'm still waiting for my car to get out of the shop (we're at 3 weeks and counting now).

So I have found over on a local gun forum a movement actively seeking to repeal Minnesota's state level ban on suppressors. They have gotten meetings with state legislators and it hasn't been dead-ended yet.

If we can pull that off, I am going to have to go through the hoops and get one for my XD. Because I can.

Okay...for a short time only, I'll allow any of you to pony up the money for me to buy a mini draco

And I'm only doing this out of the goodness of my heart.

On a similar note, I'm accepting any unwanted handguns from people in the NC/SC area. Wheelguns, 1911s, and hi-capacity double stacks are all welcome. I'll provide them a loving home.

If it goes bang and you don't want it, I'll take it off your hands.

It'll be in a loved home with a lot of siblings and plenty of range time.

Speaking of range time I was able to get out for some yesterday, pulled this off at 200yd (if only all factory loads were this consistent )

My 700 w/ swfa ss 10x42. I think I'm gonna pick up a box of fed gold medal match next time and see how that shoots, if I can consistently shoot this with the gmm I may have to get into reloading (id go broke having to buy match all the time)

Does anyone have some iron sights targets to post?

I only have one that's 25yds standing off hand...(range rained out that day so my 50yd sitting target is still out there for all I know :) )

I'll post my target in a bit when I can scan it.

-Tenacious

P.S. Gimme a break at 25yds...I was only there to make sure the rifle wouldn't blow up in my face when i shot it :)

I don't have any pictures of my targets. I usually learn from them what I need to and move on.

I'm planning on going shooting later this week, so I might get a chance to grab some targets to scan for you.

Not entirely sure what you're looking for with the targets. Just a reference of what other shooters on the forum can do?
