She does not even qualify for an honorable mention. Darwin awards can only be handed out postumously (sp?). Honorable mentions are people who did something stupid and have a permanant reminder of their stupidity.

Correction: Darwin Awards are only awarded to people who take themselves out of the gene pool permanently. You don't necessarily have to die -- for example, there was a gentleman who tried to rob a blind man, and had his manhood torn right out in the process. He was eligible -- think he won it, too.

My list of pets for when I can afford them is a Timberwolf (...pack), an ocelot, a wolverine, a burmese tiger, a silverback gorilla, an Amazon croc living in a terrarium with pirhannas and an anaconda, and a tiger shark.

And a Venus flytrap.

maybe some goldfish, too.

Dude, that wall was dead sexy.

I wonder what exactly he was trying to steal... I mean, it's a lion's cage, for cring out loud. Was he like, "I could use a food dish that big for my dog," or maybe "That's a sweet chew toy, I wish I could play with it..." I mean, what's the appeal here?

Maybe it was a mafia hit. "Mombique sleeps with the lions" or some poo like that.

Theft just.... doesn't make sense...

so what would you wrap in the newspapers, with the bullet-proof vest? a lion's tooth?

Darwin Awards are given out to people who have done stupid things and as a result have 1) Lost their ability to reproduce or 2) Die thus losing their ability to reproduce. They get awards for removing their genes from the gene pool.
