This is paintball. The grass is thick and tall so the paint aint going to get far into that grass. Stay low, move fast with a spotter on the hill to locate enemy movement and procede with caution when you are almost out of it. It is best though to avoid the grass if at all possible to avoid giving away your postision and maintain better cover.

I say skirt the edge of the field and when you get closer to your objective, cut into the grass and move to points that you plan to rush out of. Split your squad into 2 groups. One gives covering fire while the other squad rushes to new cover and then have the 2nd squad provide covering fire while the 2nd squad rushes out.

Buy jetpacks and hover across the field dodging paintballs. Works every time.

But seriously:

Either move fast or lie in wait. Or both. You can have one part of the team lie in camouflage to ambush any moving groups and have the other part go on to achieve objectives. If it is a king-of-the-hill sort of thing, then maybe take the closest hill and have the ambush lie in wait at the bottom of it so it will slow any takers even more than the grass.
