Thoughts on Save Phace....

I bought a Save Phace Boo mask, because I was in the market, and they look cool to me(dont want to start a how good or bad they look thread). Plus they have a multicam design which is perfect for my uni.
I received my mask yesterday and have the problem with my thermal lense not fitting.
So I called up Save Phace today to make sure I will get a new one when they are available. I called the general customer service line and spoke to a very nice guy who explained the whole situation and informed me that everyone that has a defective lense that sends in their registration card(unless you bought it from their site), will have a new one shipped to them as soon as they are available. It was a screw up on the manufacturers end that they could not have foreseen.
As I spoke to this very informative guy who was overly nice, and very well informed. I thought wow they do have great service! He told me how he plays airsoft, and how they stand by their product. He took my suggestions I had for future masks whole heartedly, and was in no rush to get off the phone(I think I actually had to cut the conversation off, I was at work).
Then while BSing on the line with me, he states that he is Jeff?(I think, sorry I forgot you name!), and he is the CEO of the company! I was kinda floored that the CEO would be answering the customer service phones! I honestly was on the phone with him for over a 1/2 hour, and he explained many things that have been stated here and why they did certain things over others.
I think this just shows that this is a great company. It has a grass roots upbringing which you dont see much anymore in a industry that is crowded with money hungry corporations.
I am not going to go into why the masks are good, how they look. I would like to just say in conclusion that before you pass judgment on their product, try one. Try it on, and see how it feels, pictures dont do it justice. If you have any questions, give them a call. You will talk to a real person who will give you all the info you want, and probably more!
I just wanted to share my experience, and would encourage everyone to keep a open mind about their products. Its people like these guys that are going to make paintball better for all of us. They are trying to do something different, outside the box.
Thanks,
Jason
PS. I have yet to play with the mask yet, I will tomorrow and give a review.
I just wanted to comment on their superior service.

I agree with him. I called Save Phace (in a rush) i needed a custom mask fast. I called and they happened to have a Scar Phace in stock. Boy whatta mask! and also the guy I spoke with was in no rush to get off the phone either and yes I was also at work at the time. anyway this is a great mask, albeit the jawbone exposed like was said before. the degree of vision is great and it seems impossible to fog the lenses. great mask.

the only thing i dont like about them is the coverage, the forehead is too high and the mask is too small.....

yes. i sustained multiple hits to the jaw and cheek. also i dont know if this was touched on, but this mask is hard plastic. no bouncers off this mask and you fell every hit.

Which is why I'll never buy one. I dont want a headache from a expensive rental mask.

It's not any more comfortable than my Grill, but the grill got me a couple bounces. I took a mask hit wearing the Save Phace mask (forget which exact one, it looked like a skull *oooh, scary*)
I almost asked the ref to chrono the guy that shot me because of the impact on it.

Yea its very deceiving. I would hate to get lit up by one, it might be deafening.

Get something like a Storm Trooper or Predator helmet. It'd be much cooler (temperature) than cutting up one to fit over a normal mask.

I was litup in one(scar phace) and it sounded like hailstones on a barn roof. definitely know when you get hit(THUKTHUKTHUKTHUKTHUK!!!!!!!!!!) i wear a vforce grill now, half the price, double the coverage.
