It depends-If I'm playing pump, I'm most intimidated by the other pumper simply because I know that somehow, I'm gonna be locked in a 1v1 against him....If I'm playing Sabre, I'm most intimidated by the Hammer because he can outshoot me(I sling 0 pods at all times exept holidays or when i have lots of really old paint thats about to go to waste). Even then, my gun can still beat his in terms of noise(i have a "megaphone" attatched to the end of my barrel :D )
It's only a game, you don't need to be afaid of anyone, except for ONE person. Its not the teenager with a marker worth more than your car. Its not the SPPL player with about 35 BPS firing rate. Its the 40 year old guy lying in a corner, taking a nap before the game begins. His camo will probably be old, and he will most likely be toting a pump. He's been playing since before you were born, and if he mentions how much he didn't like when he had to play with oil based paintballs, make SURE he is on your team. This guy is a ghost.-Match99

If you are intimidated then you have already failed. You must overcome your fears, younglings... Only then can you face the Dark side!

I can't say that I am scared of a certain Spec Ops position, or even the experience of other players. I am not really "scared" when it comes to other players. Here is what I am scared of though, non functioning equipment, and cheaters. I am scared that people will cheat, then others will see them cheat, and do it themselves. That is the scariest thing when it comes to paintball. It just ruins the fun of the game. That is why it is scary.

Walk on newbs should be most intimidated by cheaters, for that reason. They are the most likely to get you out, because you can't get them out.

I think that any one who is good at their "position" is worthy of admiration or looking to be able to be like them. but fear no.

There's a difference between being intimidated and being wary.

Younger and newer players can and will intimidated by the look. They tend to equate "look" with "skill". Heck, when I played against my first SMG68, the guy was in a ghillie too. Hearing him chrono didn't help either. After 3 or 4 games we figured out how to counter him, still wary of him but no longer intimidated.

Now I look at people, their gear and how they behave in the staging area. They still don't intimidate me but it gives me an idea on who to watch out for.

the thing that I am "scared" of the most are the people that are large and have jelly rolls (like me!) who my balls always bounce off and are damn near impossible to get out with my pump :nododgy:

The first time I ever played paintball was against a team of Army infantry. We played in the thickest brush I've ever played in -- you couldn't see 10 feet away. About 30 seconds after the game started we all got shot from 50+ feet away by the Army guys who heard our foot steps and lobbed balls over the brush to take us out instantly. They were really really really hardcore.
