I see that a Broad sword is the paintball equivalent to was a BAR gunner was like in ww2 or Korea and what a 60 gunner was in Vietnam or the saw gunners today. As far as a creed for this position I go with something around the lines of the following

"Victory through heavy fire power"
"Broadsword...suppressing the foe for the team"
"Mines bigger then yours"
"Light 'em up & Put 'em down"

let me know your thought on this

that way all the broadswords can vote on the motto and well finally have it done with

I also agree that we need a motto or a creed. Mine is basically "for the team" I run out give myself up for the winning kill or just to get the enemy players seen by the rest of my team. Of course I try to get a kill or two running out in the open. But I never try to give myself up for nothing, always try to help the team win even if it means running out as cannon fodder.

Well, I have been calling myself a Broadsword for a long time (until i recently found the love of the bazooka), and I've always played a 'smash-mouth' style. Just stick it right to 'em. that's kind of how i think the Broadsword is supposed to be played, not in the front, but making an obvious difference, so, I have always used the term,

"KNEE 'EM IN THE GUT!!"

You know, just kind of smack them in the face.
