Im sure every light riflemen has seen this gun by now. But I was wanting the complete setup gear list for this gun, from the hopper,to the type of HPA tank etc. could someone help me out. special ops has the gear list link on the light rifleman homepage, but when i click it, it leads me to their home page. so if anyone knows everything that is added on to the A-5 to create the dagger mark II post it. im looking for the brand names and everything. thx

I HIGHLY recommend that you do not go that route for building a marker for yourself. While it looks cool and everything, a sight isn't going to do you any good and using a reversed tank is not that great an idea since it throws the marker off-balance. I'm not sure how much experience you have, but you'd be better off trying out some markers that people in your area have and find from experience with those just exactly what works for you. I can not think of anyone who actually uses the SpecOps Dagger setup.

You want one of the best "dagger guns"? Save the money you would waste on that, and buy a gun like an etek or cyborg. Both these guns will outperform the a-5 in every aspect. They're much lighter, air effecient, etc. Also these guns won't make you waste money on worthless cosmetics, or other upgrades. Because both guns are GREAT stock.

Yes indeed i have an a5 right now and i play dagger or frontman which iever you want to call it and i am right now geting my self an ego. the tippmans are great guns but if you want more bang for your buck there not the way to go. they are really rental guns and millsim markers at heart not a true dagger. Not to say you cant still be one with a tippman just that for the avarage experinced player looking to be all that they can be the tippman wont live up to the expectaions.

For true dagger play at the tippmann price, get an invert mini.

Or a Proto SLG (about half the price), Proto Rail (same price), Dangerous Power F8 (same price), Etek2 (a little more), or any other marker like that. Try a Mini out before you buy one, they feel weird.

well, with those you NEED a speedy hopper and an HPA tank. id say get what gun sounds good to you, and add as you need. most tippmanns end up being a cash pit...initially

I can run a $30 Revvy and a 45/3000 on my Fusion and be good for at least 4 pods and a hopper. That's maybe another $80 onto the base cost of the gun.

But yes, shop around, play with as many different guns as you can, and find the one that makes you go "Ooooooh".
Then buy it and use it until you die.

i love tippmanns! but i have to admit that even tho those beautiful and near flawless a5s are highly modifiable, if i were to play a serious dagger position i would look to the world of tourney guns, they have similar ergonomics to what a dagger would be looking for, and all the mods that the a5 displayed above contains are really just for ergonomics, and hardly enhance performance. however paintball is all about preferences, everyone liks different things.

guys, he asked what the setup was, not what you think is a good way to play dagger, thought i'd point it out
"tippman rocks, if you think the same, put this in your sig"
"if the first thing you would grab if your house was on fire is your paintball gear, put this in your sig"
"if you love paintball more then your relatives, put this in your sig"
"if you are addicted to paintball, put this in your sig"

That's one hell of a question, I've done a ton of searching and here is what I've got:

The Stock:
JCS A-5 RVA Combat Folding Stock
Posted Image

The Barrel:
JCS X-Short Barrel
Posted Image

The Trigger:
JCS Duel Trigger
Posted Image

The Marker:
Tippmann A-5
Posted Image

The Paintjob:
Duracoat Digi-Camo Done By SpecialOps
PM BigBone for the price on that.

It's really impossible to tell which A.S.A. he used and it would be really hard for me to find the rail and sight. The tank size is also extremely hard to tell allthough my best guess says it's a 68c.i. 4,500 p.s.i. Carbon Fiber Tank. Which brand? Who knows? I'll bet the bottle cover is made by SpecialOps but agian, who knows?

To finish up the above post...

It can fit an 88/4500 tank.
The ASA combo is a lapco adapter for a5's, then a cp dovetail mount, and lastly a cp on/off
