Cheap, Simple, Effective Upgrades Just been thinking...

Nah... I'm going of hearsay, here. Original estimates were putting Detonators upwards of 6000, before becoming +/-2fps consistent. Supposed to be good after 2000, incredible after 6000. But again, I've never grabbed one. Just tossing out my 2 cents.
We could make a cocker trivia game. Betcha it would get interesting fast.

Of course, it would probably turn into just copying HaveBlue's cocker tech website into a thread... screw pitches, valve depths, throat clearances, etc. Oh, and if you happen to be wanting a BEAUTY of a cocker, PM me... I saw one for 150 that I am unfortunately just too poor to buy. I need a job... KAPP frame, AKA internals, and just hot anno on a RF body.

I was kinda thinking though, I don't really want to screw around with the pneus, because I hear you can easily snap a hose barb, in which case you're BOINKed over, so now I'm not so sure about getting the pump kit. Is it really that bad?

1. What sealant should I use? Will Teflon tape do?
2. How tight should I tighten the fittings?
3. How should I determine the length of the macro/cut it?

Cutting macro, always cut an inch longer than you think you'll need. I generally stuff it in one fitting, stretch it to the other fitting, and cut it 3/4" past the front of the fitting... but for the first time around, cut it half an inch to an inch longer than you think you could POSSIBLY need, because it requires a bit of slack to get a tight connection, and cutting it too short is never fun.

I managed to properly install the macro. No leaks what so ever.
It was a bit of a pain, because I was unsure how tight to tighten them so I ended up screwing them in and out a couple times... Unfortunately, the bottom cap on my reg. is now firmly screwed in and I can't get it out without like a strap wrench... scratched some of the anno on the reg too...
