Help
I was working the counter at my field friday and someone broke a banjo fitting on his ion, we couldn't do anything about it, but for future reference, how do you get the threaded part of the fitting out of the tube?

I did it once. I took a small drill bit that was barely bigger than the hole in the threads. I twisted it in by hand (with pliers) then unscrewed the threads. It came out reletively easy.

autoparts or hardware store...called an "Easy-Out". Looks like a reversed drill bit that grabs the part and as you 'unscrew' it, brings it with the tip....

I shoot an A-5... 
Several of the other Chicago 37th are shooting ION's,
They are always breaking banjo fittings, does anybody make a extra strong one?

How do you always break a banjo fitting? I have the same banjo fittings on one of my Ions that I bought 5 years ago.

They are breaking them because they are not careful when installing them. The threaded metal is thin...they need to stop 'wrenching' them into place and treat them like a lady...GENTLY...finger tight and THAT'S IT.
EDIT: If they are complaining that "they leak" they need to wrap a piece of Teflon tape on the threads.
