Game play since reffing

My game has gone to a higher level since reffing. I believe one reason for this, and this is something even none refs can do, is that as I watch the game I notice others who have the same playing style I do and learn from their eleminations how to better my play.

First- You do get a far greater opportunity to see the field and how it works or doesn’t work as you see players all bring different approaches and styles to dealing with a constant…the field. You really do pick up subtle nuances to how to work the field better yourself.
You also are a “REF” and I believe, weather you realize it or not, you begin playing in a more “fair” manner. I am not saying that you cheated before and now you stopped, what I mean is that you realize the things that make calling a game difficult for a Ref and you begin sorting those things out of your play style.
I will tell you that the opposite is also true for some. I know Ref’s that actually cheat more now as players than they did before being trained as a Ref. They have taken what they learned about the position and used it to inappositely benefit their personal game.
