honestly, 100 lbs of gear properly distributed isn't too bad. I can pack a 130 lb hay bale on one shoulder for quite a ways before it gets to be an issue, so that kind of weight distributed against the chest and on the shoulders is a small inconvenience that is far outweighed by the firepower you give to your team.

Holy crap Cowboy how big are you?, i guess it only seems like alot because i am 14, 6' tall, and weigh 200lbs, so carrying more then half my body weight seems to be impossible.

Its not mean. I'm a farm boy. I'm 6' and around 280lbs. A lot of that is muscle and a decent amount is fat. But I can run with all that weight on me and can perform great feats of strength. I spent a large part of my childhood(my teenage years and then some) delivering hay and it was normal to make three different 20 ton deliveries a week. And with each bale at 100lbs I was throwing around a lot of weight every other day for a long time. After that, packing paintball gear isn't much of an issue at all. So get your parents to buy a farm and you'll be all set for future heavy weapons duty in paintball.

I wish we had a farm so i could open up my own field, then with all the money made, i could buy a DT and unleash the beast :P

Im not that large. 6 ft 180 pounds. Its pretty balanced as cowboy says and I loved being able to stay on the field longer without having to reload on air and paint.

For a scenario, 330 rounds in each hopper plus 12 locklids in the vest plus three locklids on each leg.
330 x 2
+160 x 18
________
3,540 rounds

one 115/3000 tank on the gun plus
two 88/5000 tanks on my back and I'm all set.
We carry all that weight by balancing it with our mental instablility.

not as mental as being a dagger with feeder tubes feeding paintballs from your your shoulders to your gun with massive 50 cal ammo box's on each shoulder
ive tryed the setup, i enjoyed it, i'm guessing i'm a extreamly mobile heavy gunner

not to mention that i'm also planning on skydiving while paintballing, not sure if its legal though, might not be able to do it
"tippman rocks, if you think the same, put this in your sig"
"if the first thing you would grab if your house was on fire is your paintball gear, put this in your sig"
"if you love paintball more then your relatives, put this in your sig"
"if you are addicted to paintball, put this in your sig"

Leaving an airplane with an intitial accelleration rate of 32feet per second/per second, you could get hit by your own paintball eventually if you fired it in your personal trajectory line. But it would be cool as hell.
And probably not a good idea since at that speed the wind would take your mask off pretty easily.
