so what would you rate this gun out of 10? I might get one, but I'm torn between this and a PMR.

Its really what your comparing it with. I'm going to base this off of any marker. Its not going to beat a marq or a dm8 but this on personal marker preferance.

Rips: +1
Easy matince:+1

Other than the feedneck, trigger, people say dents suck but I've only had problem with the dents with reballs. But I ordered new dents anyways. A new asa because you know on/offs are better.

Pics still to come. I think I need to make a new photobucket account.

yah, I have to agree and say that I enjoy my slg as well, there is only one problem I have with it. The bolts used to hold my eye covers in are stripped into the gun, I guess im going to try using an allen key and JB weld to get them out seeing as customer service is of no help, any yays or nays on this idea?

yah but I can't get the bolts out to replace them, and the jb weld didn't work, and the customer service won't help me with the warranty, I'm ticked.

If someone could tell me how to cap the bps on the SLG I would appriciate(sp) it greatly. This is my first elctro and this is all new to me. Any help would be great, thanks.

Do you have your manual?
Look at the settings page. Its going to tell you to flip the dip switches, 1 up 2 down I believe. Then so many clicks per who many shots you want. If you need more explaination or don't have your manual. Pm me and I'll help you out. Also check protos site for a manual.

Why is it better than the pmr? Simplicity.

Count the orings :eck: Thats about as disassembled as it gets.

I pretty much love it.
Light (very) Small (very) Quick (very).
Cocker threads are a plus (one of the main reasons I bought it...)
Definitely needed a new feed neck, and the rubber nub detents are a problem. The trigger wasn't a big deal to me, its adjustable and taking the spring out seems to help. Other than that as far as upgrades go you don't really need anything else.
I had a few strange problems out of the box, an off and on leak down the barrel that seems to have fixed itself, and a ton of chops. I just ordered kila magnetic detents, and im pretty sure they are gonna do the trick.
Ive gotten to play with it a few times, and it works great when its not chopping. I was shooting people through holes in branches from a distance so I would say it is pretty accurate.
For $300 (If you count "necessary" upgrades) its a GREAT choice.

Here's the manual

I just got an SLG, first thing I put on is a new feedneck. The trigger is not good, at all. It's very stiff. I've found one thing to help is I took out the trigger spring and put in one of the detent springs that come in the parts kit. Works much better. I'm going to try magnets and see how those work.

I got some new eyes and dents and an asa for it now. The guns hot. Still need to get a trigger though.

New pics up.
