The flatline is way to paint picky and the accuracy is so bad that you could miss the broad side of a barn. JK obviously but the accuracy is pretty damn horrible. Also it makes the gun too loud and too heavy.

HAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!, TOO HEAVYYYY!!, no offense but you must be weak if you think about 1/2 a pound is heavy, I don't know how you will make it in life if you think that is heavy, and as long as you keep the rate of fire at about 10 you can use any paint.

I've put marbs through one at 16bps never had a breaking problem.

Do you have the stock bolt?, I also was using old KARNAGE (1 year old) so it may have played a factor, but as long as they don't go 25 I think it should be fine, even if there is a dent in the barrel like mine.

They shoot just as far from the tests that my friend and I have done, the only advantage is that you can get it to shoot around stuff.

I have a freak kit with the new Apex ready tip. It is unbelievable. All the accuracy of paint to barrel match, and I can turn on the Apex at will and reach out and touch someone :ghillie:

so i plan on playing a broadsword in the team me and my buddys are starting. the team is going to be really aggressive. so my question is, is the flat line worth it?

maybe its just me, but i dont like the flatline. its very picky as to what paint works well with it, cleaning is not as easy as a straight barrel, and its kinda loud.
i found that you sacrifice accuracy and gain some range, id rather have accuracy. its a pain when you can see a hopper or shoe or mask and hit everywhere around it but what you want.

The accuracy was great, maybe I got a lucky one but I think the barrel has great range. To clean it, it didn't seem hard at all. You can even boil it, *some ppl say that, I have not had enough balls to just boil my barrel*. Yeah and its loud as heck. But this is also coming from someone that is looking into getting aa different barrel than my trusty flatline

i run a flatline, at its really very fun. i have an egrip and running full auto with a flatline rains paint all over the field. i like using it to intimidate people in bunkers. and it just looks really cool lol

personally id go flatline. if u get an expansion champer you can get much better accuracy. truly just ask my friends. they thought that my flatline had no accuracy, but later that game when i sniped out 3 people from 150 ft, they thought otherwise.
also it just looks kick butt with the rail shroud.

I should also mention that if you play in cooler temps, like around 40 degrees F, flatlines eat paint like its going out of style.

I don't agree with Flatline either. I might just be a noob member, but I know my equipment. I am looking into a Dye Ti-Boomstick at my friend's referral. Is it possible to put an APEX on it though?

Flatline for the win! As long as you use good smallish paint (Like Marbalizer) it cant be beat.
Has anyone ever done a side by side test, Flatline vs Apex?

no its not worth it, it gives you range but kills accuracy, breaks paint unless you buy a super thick kind, also the paint doesnt usually break when it hits someone.

Skip the flatline, get the APex and an Apex ready barrel with quality.

As for range, yes I can agree with that. I typically can out shot most others on the team, but accuracy, I would say isn't the best unless pretty close range.

However if wind is a factor, which any game outside if sure is, then it really doesn't matter.

I have played indoors in the past. In those games the flatline owns, no wind to factor and if you match the paint to the barrel right, it does truly own.

Only barrel I've ever seen that doesn't arc a shot.

I buy high quality every time and I have never had a ball break in the barrel. Of course then again, I don't spray either unless needing to charge or cover, so the most I shot at one time is around 5-7 shots in doing so, you only really need 3 to take a person out.
Black ants, no-see-ems, mosquitoes, nats, flies, and other bugs are all part of the excitement!

You have to learn how to crawl before you can walk. You have to learn how to walk before you can run.
Mostly importantly, you must be willing to do all three in a game of woods-ball.

Don't buy the Apex untill you find it for $50 dollars. Not to hard to do but don't buy it for $80 whatever you do. Buy J&J apex adapter for $15 at their website. Then mount the apex on a PMI razor barrel which is basically a cheap J&J. It cost $15 at my local sporting goods store. The stock barrel the apex comes with is very bad unless the tip is on. If you do this you will like it much better than a flatline.
