I did a quick search and could not find a similar thread that was current. So, I decided to make my own.

The reason why I am asking is because I was playing a recreational day at a field I go to when I visit family. I noticed that when people ran out of air or paint in the middle of game they would call themselves out instead of using one of the answers offered in the poll or being creative. When I ran out of air in one game we were playing I stayed in the game, as I always do, "if your not hit your not out" in my opinion, and rallied our side from a near defeat by coordinating fire and playing decoy when needed.

So, what do you do?

I depends. Sometimes I call myself out, others become a decoy. Then sometimes, I go prone and try and sneak around behind the enemy team and gather intel on their positions, but only if I have a radio.

I said other to both, since I do this...

If I'm outta air, I throw my paint. Keeps em guessing (I've heard one say "Geez someone's either running outta air or tried to crank up his fps!")
Outta paint? Keep shooting. The sound keeps their heads down. We all have an instictual.... instinct that says "Wong-ta hear gun. Wong-ta get down!" I don't even have to see the paint to think I'm getting shot at, just the sound.

It is dark. You are likely to be flanked.

I try and get surrenders.

I was borrowing a friends Ion, but I was completely out of air, I see two people in a bunker, not facing me, so I make a run for them to surrender 'em.

Then some guy pops out of a bunker between myself and the two players and puts 10 balls into me from 20 ft away... I'd startled him, he though I'd seen him and was gonna bunker him. lol.

I put "Continue in your current position as best as possible." because I will always have my Tib 8 for backup in these instances or other malfunctions of my primary. :D

Btw - Who is Wong-Ta ?

If your out just fooling around... whatever, I'm out.

If you and your crew are doing something, there is no way in hell you should leave that field if you haven't been shot. Find something else to do, be someone else to shoot at. If they see six guys instead of seven they might push your position. Sit tight and be that one guy they know is there but can't hit. When seconds count you've got to be willing to take one for the team.

I saw a guy yesterday call himself out cause he ran out of paint.

If I run out, I either try to distract the other team, or demand surrenders. I've only actually gotten someone to surrender when I was empty once. I also dry fire once in a while, but not a lot.

Never run out of air, but since it's near impossible to dry fire without it...the fart noise is a bit noticeable...I try to get people to surrender.

Keep doing whatever I can, whether that's directing movement and such, or if I'm just out of paint I'll dryfire to try and get some heads down, or I'll act as a scout... or do something really crazy like take my barrel off and go on a mad tagging-spree. And I've done that and I do it well :). I never ask to borrow paint and I don't call myself out when I run out of paint/air.

Yeah I always stay in because I would be bored watching. And if I have air I can keep heads down. If I don't I can gather intel and find out what the other team is doing. :)

i choses other for both of them because if i run out of air then i try to bunker or barrel tag someone. and if i run out of paint then i use the noise to keep the enemys heads down.

It depends but most of the time i just call myself out.Mainly because i dont wanna be corner or charged when i cant shoot back, and frankly its no fun when u cant shoot people.Once and a while i mite stay in for a while but when the other team starts movin in on us i call myself out.But thats just my personal preference.

You're not out! At the very least, fall back and start calling out enemy positions. If you don't want to do that move for the surrender if you have it at your field or become a flag runner.

To the first, ever since I started my new tank setup, I have not once run out or Co2. Its simply due to having 5,000 rounds worth of Co2 on the gun and an extra 1,200 with a spare tank.

If I'm out of paint (only happens in games longer than an hour because I pack about 1700 rounds), I stay and fight, dry fire, I have an underbarrel grenade launcher and am usually packing 8-16 grenades, borrow paint, call positions, have a live grenade in hand in case someone tries to bunker me, etc.

Typically in a game, I'm the one giving out Co2 and paint to those that run out. Its always been fun to give grenades to kids who run out or paint or air, watch them take out several opponets and come back for more grenades  .

Carry extra air and paint? Like alot of it?
You should never be caught in that position if well enough prepared.

Just because you cant actually shoot doesnt mean you have to leave the game...there are plenty of things one can do in this position to help your team (or at least have some fun...)
If Im out of paint I usually just fake it, laying down streams of imaginary paint. Or I do what I do when Im out of air....act as a decoy to draw fire, run around with a radio & do some scouting, become a living shield/mobile bunker by putting myself between a team-mate and incoming hostile fire, or just say "screw it" & go for a glorious bare-handed flag run. I have even been known to throw old paint Ive found on the ground as a distraction...

Obviously, none of these is my prefered method of playing. But when the chips are down, ya work with what ya got... ;)
