I used to live in northern AL. Real shame that there are people out there who wuld just steal $30,000 worth of stuff.

Funny thing is, I've never heard of any of these fields. County and zip code would be helpful.

East limestone county on two of them..and not sure what the Zip code is..its funny that I just heard about this..i live like 10 mins away...Wander what kind of stuff they stole?

if it keeps happening talk to the police and ask them if they can have a cruiser keep an eye peeled every once in a while. that will make them stop

I know it sounds crappy, but where am I when all this shady stuff goes down?!

Is there surveillance set up?
If not...will there be now?

Alarm systems? Remote or annunciating?
If not...will there be now?

Learning experience.....It really sucks that this happened. I hate people that steal.
I hope these fields learn from this and set up a proper security system if they don't already have one.

If it keeps happening? I think a 30 grand theft is kinda a one time thing. Still, how could you not have surveillance when you have THAT MUCH up in there. And how would you steal compressors? The one at a field I go to is bigger than a full size refrigerator, and it's definitely not filled with air(lol) open space like a fridge is.

You say they stole cash too? That will never be tracked down. However the equipment can be, if I were you I'd keep a lookout on Ebay as that would be an easy way for the theives to get rid of it with a profit.

good point there weigel, start doing daily random searches for fairly unique items that were stolen. also try other sites like craigslist (dont actually know anythinga bout this site, but i hear its like ebay?)

good luck to you and everybody else that works at those 3 fields. hopefully it doesnt have a lasting effect on teh fields and you can keep them running for the players.

possibly ask if players want to donate money when they sign up to help get the funds to replace equipment.

I think that any site, such as Ebay, should require posting the Serial Number on any markers being sold on the site. If not, the said marker should not be allowed to be sold on the site.
