I've been on these forums for a good 4 years (diffrent accounts) and there is always a flamethrower thread every 5 months. It is never going to happen, other than the paintthrower, a flamethrower will never and should never be made, its too impractical, its would be more of a pain to use and maintain, and it would not be allowed at any field.

i now this topic seams dead for now, but i had an idea

what if instead of using paint you used a powder, like the venom paint mixs added to another powder, like baby powder or something

then use it against buildings and tanks, you would be less likely to ruin anyones gear and the powder could also be used a distraction/smokescreen it seams like a good idea to me now, but im sure that someone will point something out that it flawed in my idea,
baby powder is also cheaper then paint, and you would get better range then with paint, becuase the wind could carry it, i it would settle on the building or on a tank, clearly marking them as out, and you wouldn't have to worry about fps of your new toy

This has been done. A friend of mine, one of his old team mates dad (lost yet?) restores and demos WWII flamethrowers. They converted it, and mixed their own paint and used it in a few scenarios. The biggest one being at Skirmish DDay. I have seen the victims, and what happens when someone tries to bunker the person weilding the flamethrower. Check out my old teams' myspace page (www.myspace.com/midnightraiders ). There should be a vid clip on there.

To make a flame thrower just get a used empty fire extinguisher. Screw the valve/handle out. You can screw it out by hand. Wash it out. Drill a hole in the top of it and install a tire (schrader) valve. You're done. Fill with paint. Screw the valve/handle back in and pressurize it. I've made several paint grenade fillers like this but they will shoot paint 50-70 feet. I wouldn't carry one around in a game but if you want one this is an easy way to make one.
