Thanks for bringing it back bro.
Get Dad to babysit for you & get out to Travis on the 10th & bring the wife - she's probably ready to shoot someone by now...

If one of the wives plays, it would probably be Mrs. Cadillac, since Mrs. Stuntman isnt really into paintball that much (well, no ones' perfect - I'll get her to play again sometime though). I figure that since Mrs. C hasnt played in almost a year due to pregnancy/childbirth, she could use a little recreational violence...

The good thing is that now instead of losing lots every event pushing music that won't stick here I can funnel that all back to something rather fun instead..
Anyway.. I finally got my marker running last Friday w/ the help from the Bump pro shop and stopped by Bay Area Paintball to test it out.. After a little tweaking things were good to go.. Even though I was in normal pants and a t-shirt I decided to jump into the evening games and did quite well against walk ons and less so w/ the scrimmaging regulars/teams, but thats cause I kept trying to go for the back side bunkers w/ too much open ground and got tagged just before reaching them. I unfortunately injured my knee a little skim boarding a couple of months ago and can't slide / run as fast currently. I went out to Paintball Jungle Sunday and that was interesting.. Hmmm electros in the woods.. Felt like speedball in the woods really; little tactics just 50/50 shoot outs mostly; except I did pull off an awesome ghost flank maneuver that made it clear why I'm getting back into it all! Doh.. I did have trouble w/ my Qloader as I was using their really crappy paint (almost every ball had 2 dimples!) and feeding was a pain in the rear as I'd get ~8 balls off then I'd have to duck behind cover and jiggle the feeder tube. So lesson learned.. no crap paint in the Qloader ever again.
I'm planning on going out to Bear Creek or Sequoia this weekend. I figure since Sequoia doesn't offer nitro fills and I have scuba tanks for self filling I'm gathering there will be less electros there. I can share my tanks for at least 1 other person if interested. Plus I understand Sequoia is the old Woodstalk. I used to go there all the time years back..
Ok.. Anyone remember an indoor field in Santa Clara called TAPPS? I hearted that place as a kid.. It closed down '95ish I think, but that is where I cut my teeth and have some of the best memories from my teen years there.. ;P Ahh.. Remember before speedball and there were indoor fields with two story fortresses and mazes and a more urbanish setting..
I'll probably be going out most weekends and perhaps do a little indoors/speedball at BAPB once I have my marker (Tac-1) fitted with that GForce pneumatic frame (gonna rock!).
Of course the TAW event.. I made a post over there about carpooling (I'm offering) / sharing a hotel room. I'm on the "Deadites" for the TAW game.. I have a black mohawk w/ blue highlights, so I probably won't be hard to miss..
I guess one larger interest I have for '08 is joining a Cali SPPL team and learning all the ropes in that direction. I think it would be neat to start a SF Bay SPPL team for '09 and could conceivably put in the effort/time to make that happen.
Cheers...

On that music stuff.. Yeah. I'm still a bit bummed though the last 5 years was a bit of a war of attrition w/ just me carrying the torch without a crew. I gave it one last solid/big hurrah, but no response. I've got a myspace page for info/audio on the music tip: http://www.myspace.com/egrrecords
Cheers.. Lets tear it up @ CoD..
