quest is ugly as sin...

Anyhow, there is no best marker. They all have tradeoffs.

I agree - best marker *dye* is the same as asking best vechicle - chev truck or porsche.

closed bolt *dye* or poppet?

As for stats - well *dye* these have a human element (player) to judge *dye* preformance.

So since I truly *dye* believe this can't be answered unbiasly *dye* I'll just leave it at that.

He really likes dye?
Emag wouldn't get my vote, its heavy for its size and not gas efficient at all.

I think there is a way to statistically verify SOME of what he's asking. You can define some quantifiable differences among the types of high end markers, and the slight differences that entails. For example, one can make the spool valve/vs poppet valve comparison. There are real appreciable differences between those two designs, and those designs cover most of the high end spectrum(Shocker, DMs and PMs, Ego, Marq, Quest, Infiniti, etc). Start there.
Don't be perfect, be clutch.

Dye DM7.

-Extremely low pressure operation: Quiet, no kick, and very easy on brittle tourney paint.

-Fast: Can shoot up to 30bps and smooth as silk.

-Light weight

-Accurate

-No open bolt to get dirt into.

Show me a dm7 shooting 30 balls per second.
The q7 operates at a lower pressure.
There are lighter guns. Sl-74, mini, ect.
Accuracy is determined by the user.
And there is a hole in the back cap.

There is no best gun.

There are always tradeoffs.

Bill, You made a mistake coming here to the internet paintball community. These people will not be put off, will not accept partial answers and will hold you accountable for everything you say. They are not your typical customer. Even through all the bickering and flaming, the collective consciousness of this community sits at nothing less than the genius level. They are the highest and best of what paintball has to offer. I have trusted and turned to them for years and they have allowed me to walk among them for which I am grateful.

Sure there is a best gun. The DM7 is mine statistically and nonstatistically. You will only get opinions in a thread like this and that was mine. Cheers.

Really? Isn't it just an allen key slot?

Actually I'm sure it is...you may be off base there...

I have personally seen a DM7 firing 30 BPS, it was pretty cool too.

And yeah, they do have kick. No gun is "kickless", although, it is more of a vibration.

No it's a hole unless they have changed it recently.

Huh, I'll have to check it out next time I see a DM, it strikes me as odd that there is a hole there. Does it have any purpose?

Ego SL-74s. They might not be #1 in any one category, except for price, but they have great efficiency, are light, low kick, and fast.
