Just thought that Spec ops guys who like to discuss high end markers and new products should deserves a thread to post in instead of multiple threads that take up server. I have a 72/45 non peanut but I am thinking maybe just get a 68/45 as mine is nearing the end of hydro

Is the quality and selection now offered by the mid-range markers going to make the $1500 marker a special order everywhere and very limited in production?

The pmr - mini - NXT - fusion - etc have brought this class a reputation of reliablity now that was only really found in the $1000 + market.

I don't think so. Egos have such big hype their sells aren't going to go down just because of some well made mid-grade guns.

I think that in the rec and lower comp divisions mid ends will dominate but still the D2 and up I think will still flock to the 1000+ high ends.
Also i consider The NXT as high end. Just Smart Parts isnt crazy and jacking the prices for their markers up to ubsurd ampounts

But what do you think it costs to produce an ion? >$75 for sure, and they just raised the price $25

Threshold=overpriced PMR=overpriced Ion...

At least the quality goes up a bit each time, but I don't think the PMR is twice the quality of an Ion (better reg, but they can't even give a decent back cap or trigger? That's like $5 more in manufacturing). Haven't seen much of the threshold, looks decent, but I wonder how much of the cost is from milling... like a bob long.

And whats with the Ion not even being bolt out back?

Anyways, these unbalanced spools are neat-o for the price, I guess

Oh so the threshold bolt is already milled for high efficency sealing off oring mod, why not include the 2 cent part, even if you're not going to install it. Give a small sheet of paper saying "this is something you don't need, but here's why you might want it, and look, we're even giving it to you for free"

lol, good points, the quality of a PMR is nowhere near acceptable... like c'mon, plastic frame, trigger, and back cap, blahhh... they probably saved themselves about $10 per PMR...
