heres the story

Many of you may have heard of the replica gun ban that restricts the import and sell of all 'toy guns' that resemble a real fire arm or something like that.
Within the past week some guy in Toronto did something with a paintball gun, which I am unaware of at the moment but it was serious enough that paintball markers as well as all accessories now fall under the replica gun ban tariff.

It may be that by the end of the year paintball will have gone the way of air soft.
Legal to own and operate already in the country before a certain date but illegal to buy.

So what I am getting at or at least the way Gary explained it to me is that to be able to sell paintball markers and maybe own, you will need your firearms license
It will still be possible to buy paintballs but all markers, masks, parts and so on will be more expensive/impossible to get.

I am not sure if this bill will be passed and not all of the details have been released yet but I will know hopefully by some time next week
im a noob ive choosen my life, now.on with it.
if it cant be done,it dosent need to be done

It is not a rumor though, so... unfortunately, But Paintball Guns do not fall under The TOY gun ban. Some people Robbed some stores in toronto with paintball guns.

Hmmm...I am honestly concerned about this. Though the ban will likely not be able to sustain for more than a few months at most due to mobs/riots...I don't think that this should even be though of! So what if someone robbed a store or did something criminal with a paintball gun! Sometimes, certain people become desperate and do whatever it takes and use whatever tools necessary to accomplish their goal.

This is the part the truly...not exactly scares me but irratates me to an enormous extent (I'm being selective of my words as you can see).
I called Canada customs and it is now illegal to bring in any paintball/airsoft gun that looks remotly close to a real fire arm. If you do and your caught it is 2yrs in prision and/or $250,000 fine.

Now...that seems a tad unreasonable doesn't it??? I do realize that I am ranting to a certain extent by the way.
Now, will we be able to bring a Tippmann Marker across the border if this ban suceeds? Likely not the A-5, unsure about the X-7 but, what about the 98? This is a real problem because, what about all of the big games in the states? What about D-Day? I'm sure that the majority of players there are currently using a Tippmann as their primary marker.
In my opinion, the only markers which should not be allowed to enter the United States or to enter Canada if this ban should suceed should be markers from Rap-4. Possibly a heavily milisimed marker such as the BT-4 Ironhorse should be inspected, but not red-flagged. I am REALLY hoping that Canadians with Tippmanns/BTs will be allowed to transport their markers across the border.

Gah...this is going to drive me insane...
