What's the use? Other than seeing someone's face (which isn't that good anyway, most people's faces are white disregarding tanned/african descent people and the mask helps mask that pretty white target) there's no good for it. I mean, not many people can lip read, so a new form of communication. I like the shielded mouth, because I can mouth stuff like "**** you" and keep a straight face when I'm really PERTURBED off at someone.

Also, the stuff the lens are made of isn't invicible (unlike the black knight, HE'S INVICIBLE!!). When I got my mask, it said in the little safety book that you should replace a lens once it is 1. Scratched/cracked or 2. Shot by a paintball. I've heard about some guy at my field that wore the same mask for like 2 years, he got shot in the lens a bunch of times then one day it broke when he got shot and although it didn't pierce his eyes he got really bloody. So if the mask was made of the stuff, you'd have to keep it in a cushioned case and you couldn't leave it lying on the ground anywhere cuz it might scratch/scrape it, and then you'd have to replace the whole thing!

Also, have you ever played sniper position? Yah me neither, well not officially anyway. When I play ambush sabre I can always pick people out of the woods from the glint of their lens. Yah, they're SHINY! So an entire face worth of shiny... HEY GUYS! DON'T LOOK IN THE BUSH, NO ONES HERE! JUST A BUNNY RABBIT WITH SHINY TEETHIES! AND CLAWS!!!

So a clear lens-mask? No real practical use other than recongnizing someone, and it also has technical and camoflauge problems.

I said 'different' because it is. Very different. But its not useful, so 'useless.' Do you think I'd buy a mask that gives me away and takes away my ability to mouth off people without them knowing?
It is dark. You are likely to be flanked.

I think it would be a decent idea. I mean doesn't everybody love those see through gameboys and controllers? pretty much the same concept.

Side note- Joey, I mostly play woodsball and rec ball, but I refuse to play in regular camo gear. Camo doesn't help you that much and the performance you get out of tournament wear is completely worth it. I know a lot of players do the same thing, not to mention many players use high end guns now too. I see you're somewhat new so I thought I'd help you out a bit.

one slightly curved pane of anti-fog lens material covered by those "goggle skinz" camo things would be camoflauged but have a large field of view.

A truly all clear mask would be cool. very customizable. add any color you want. you could have some fun with it.

I like the dark colored masks with the large lenses in them, but I also like the lenses to be polarized or tinted in some way. So, even though the lens is transparent it is not completely clear and doesn't get the glare from the sun.

I do think a lot of people would get these if they were made, so it is not a bad idea, I just wouldn't want it.
