i am trying to make a custom hopper by drilling a hole in the top of the 330 hopper and dropping a standard 5$ cheepo in the hole surrounding it with epoxy, bondo or whatever

It sounds like you want to stick a standard 200 round hopper into a hole in the top of a 330 round hopper? So they would be stacked and hold 530 rounds. If so that would be too tall, heavy, and look rediculous. Or do you want to put a standard feed neck on a 330 round hopper so you can put it in something other than an A5? If that's the case I would just get the VL Revy MAX. Either way, 300 rounds should be plenty. Please elaborate on what you're trying to accomplish.

Here is my humble opinion on hopper size. Anything more than a 200 round hopper tends to be too bulky and creates a nice size target on your marker.

so you're trying to get something like this:

I don't know. It looks like it would be a pain in the butt playing in the woods. I guess that if you are trying to get a bigger hopper, why don't you find a way to get make one? Like out of a milk gallon? I think it would be better than having additional hoppers attached to each other by feednecks.

a 5 for ingenuity. Minus 5 for practicality. I'm wondering why someone would want that many rounds in a hopper....

It'd be fragile, too.
Don't make fun of my marker! It works better than yours, and I won't have to get a second job to buy a new one if it breaks.

Put this in your sig if you spent $2000 fireproofing a closet for your gear so you can just get out the house in a fire.

or you could do something like this:

make sure you get a flexible hose to run down from the head hopper. otherwise this idea would seem really dumb. ;)
