I belive snipegod is looking more along the lines of an actually commonly accessable air compressor to use for tank filling.
The simple answer is no. Most average compressors are made to provide a lower operating pressure at a a higher volume to operate tools. A standard garage compressor you see on contruction sites and in Home Depot will only provide an output pressure of maybe 150 psi.
Your Tippmann m98 operates at around 800 psi.
The types of compressors used to fill paintball tanks are specialized and based off the comercial high pressure systems like you see in SCUBA shops. These systems typically produce 3000 to 5000 psi. They fill you high pressure air tank for paintball with these types of compressors, then the regulator on your paintball HPA tank brings the output pressure to the 800 needed by your m98.
If you are looking to buy your own personal compressor to fill your paintball air tanks...typical small personal compressors cost $2500 new.
