I'd be happy to join up - however, I'm fairly new to woodsball and I'm not in any possition to be judging my skill. Plus, I'm low on money currently as well as the fact that I'm not on an official team since the Ottawa paintball scene is pretty lame.

Don't worry. D-Day is just a gigantic version of your average woodsball game. Albiet with 400x more people, tanks, awesomesauce fields and more paintball vendors then you can shake a Blazer at.

Busses are expensive. I looked into it earlier, you're looking at close to $2000 or so for a trip down there,

But if you split that 20 or so ways it becomes VERY affordable!

The one in Oklahoma. The BIG one.

oh ok that one i dought i would make it it a bit far and price $$

That's why I'm leaving a year for myself and anybody else interested to get organized. I'm personally looking at about $2000 of plane tickets, paint, gear, admission, food, camping and so on.

that quite alot i can't make that much in a summer and i dough my mom would let go during school year

$2000 is obviously more then most. Most of that is constituted by Air Canada getting me halfway across the continent. Someone from the more southern-ish regions-southern Ontario, Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver, ect could probably drive there easily. Long drive, but still.

There was someone who I was bouncing PMs off of a few months back about looking into the chance of going to this year's D-Day (Which obviously didn't pan out). He got several pools organized in BC, Alberta and Ontario at least. I believe his name started with an X. If you read this, BTW, I'd be glad to help if you plan on co-ordinating more pools this year.

I'm hoping to make it, but so far it seems unlikely.

If you guys want to get to Winnipeg, we could go down from there. It's a central point with almost equal distance from the farthest points of Canada and make the trek down on a bus together. That would be INSANE but cool!

If you guys wanted to do that, depending on numbers, I could do a rough price estimation.

Sounds like a cool idea to me too. I guess I have a lot of paperwork to do first though (get passport, get credit card, etc.)

What I would like to see are 4 or 5 groups that start at central points and hit several on the way. For example, one starting in Winnipeg and hitting up northern-ish Ontario and Manitoba-Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Barrie, and such. Maybe continue on and hit southern Ontario too, but I'd imagine there'll be no problem filling a bus there.

Yeah...it's not as bad now though, apparently you can have anyone sign as a guarantor (have to know them for 2 years), though I don't know if thats in place.

If anyone wants to do the bus from Winnipeg, just let me know and we'll start getting it all together.

Hmmm, we could do a bus from Winnipeg through to Toronto and then down south.

Anyone have a more instantaneous form of communications?

Ok guys and gals, I sent an info request form based on 40 people from Winnipeg to OK City with special consideration for going through Ontario, so I'll hopefully have information soon.
