I have to say that I just purchased a Lapco BigShot for my A-5. I am beyond impressed with it! For such a short barrel it is dead accurate! The barrel is short enough that I can get tight into cover and not get it snagged on stuff. In my opinion that barrel also looks good on the A-5.

i have to say that my 5.5 jcs is very accurate for the length, i was very surprised. the only thing that sucks is that i cant mount my apex on it because of the ridges.

If your looking for accuarcy, get a barrel kit but for close-quarters short barrels are good. right now im using a 14" J&J Ceramic and it works great

Get a flatline! The absolute best dagger barrel! You can reach out and hurt somebody, then push them out of thier cover with a heavy flank, then your team can light them up!

Check my profile, I am a Master Dagger!

Ive played like 20 times this year alone.

^ please

Anywho, I can't believe no one has recommended the python barrel kit with 2" tip. It has all the accuracy of a barrel kit and its compact and great and close quarters. With the kit and tip it comes to only 4.5" and cost about 80 bucks. (Which isn't bad for a barrel kit)

Hammerhead sharktooth

+1 on Sharktooth, amazing little barrel. I also have a hammerhead battlestixx, .688 fin when paired with Xball silver means ball on ball.

4 inch blackcell or an apex. I love the feel of playing light rifleman with a really short barrel like the c series 4", but the apex is great too. :dodgy:

If I had a dollar for every time one of these stupid, useless threads came up...well, I'd own this place.
Let me spell it out good and clear:
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A DAGGER BARREL. OR A SABER BARREL OR A SNIPER BARREL OR A BROADSWORD BARREL OR A BARREL FOR ANY OTHER POSITION.

Unless you play constantly in such tight confines that a 3" barrel is ALWAYS a necessity, then use the same barrels that EVERYBODY ELSE does. A GOOD BARREL FOR A GUN IS A GOOD BARREL FOR ANY POSITION.

That said, I'll just assume this as a 'What's a good barrel?' thread.

12"-14" J&J Ceramic, maybe with an Apex tip (UMS adapter or tape mod)
12" PPS Brass Barrel, again with an Apex tip (PPS adapter or tape mod)
Lapco Bigshot Barrel Kit (Throw an Apex tip on one of the tips with the tape mod or custom UMS adapter).

Any one of those will serve you quite well for any position.

What Pilot said... A Dagger and a Sniper can use the same barrel.

This information is incorrect, of course there are barrels for positions and no I'm not being sarcastic. For example a dagger should never use a flat line nor should a sniper, thus making those barrels not compatible for those positions. A dagger should strive for a smaller barrel to be more agile but if he cannot, or does not believe that hammerhead 5.5 shoots just as well as longer barrels than fine use a good longer barrel. But again, since there ACTUALLY ARE RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT FOR POSITIONS you don't want to go buy an 18' barrel as a dagger or saber. As for the apex tip... why? if you have enough time to fool around with trick shots you should be moving.

ughh I hate that barrel.

Why do you hate it?

Some of my friends hate it simply because they can never find paint that fits well in it.
