ive always had this idea (yet no know how to make it) but what about instead of a paintflamethrower (or PFT) mounted to your back why not carry cans of preasurized paint or run your propellant throw the paint from point a to point b (nozle) anyways i know if you search u'll find a link in here somewere that a like10-16 yearold kid made a fully funtional flamethrower at home (crazy) but it would work perfectly for paintball.

but if you could load it like clips (cans) it could allow for more flexibility when playing

and for the rest of you who be h8in its not about tactical efficentcy but what would be crazy fun to have on the field

best of luck

Brass Eagle Marauder with old paintballs and a slightly bent barrel, firing really fast. You get good splatter out to about five feet :) . How do I know this? Well, to make a long story short, it was my first gun. I bought a Tippmann 98C real soon.

That's actually not a bad idea for a paint thrower. Except, overall, it's a stupid idea (in my opinion). You don't have a very far range. You'd be out in the open spraying paint, so they could get a clear shot. Plus, if you think it would be useful in caves, it wouldn't. On a flamethrower back in WW2 and Korea and all that, it would get the enemy out of the caves because they couldn't breath because the oxygen would be sucked up by the flames.

Well if your going for a custom paint-thrower, a Super Soaker is a good example of what you would need.

If you were to make your own paint-thrower, you would need a device that has:
*Paint tank-Yes, this is where the paint would go :dodgy:
*Pressure chamber-sorta. THis is where you would pump paint into; the more pressure, the more distance.
*Pump- To Pump paint from the paint tank to the pressure chamber.
*Barrel-again, sorta. Basically a tube coming out of the pressure chamber, where you would put a valve that opens when you pull the trigger.
Those would be the basics. I don't feel like sketching up a design, and that was a super-basic decription. You will have to use your imagination if you want to design your own paint-thrower. I love designing things, but a paint-thrower is different from the things I like to work with.

I have actually come across a Flamethrower once before
well it was actually a paint filled fire extingusher
IIRC had a nice 10 ft range

Flamethrowers were never designed for range
just to incinerate the opposition

Search button. Or just buy a super soaker and fill it with watered down childrens washable paint. Not practical, waste of money IMO. If you can see them, shoot them, no need to spray up the whole field... I wouldn't think a lot of fields would allow it either.

You need to dig around military surplus auctions to try and find old WWII-era and such flamethrowers. Once that's done, you just need to convert them to run off of paint and compressed air (Not hard). However, getting an actual flamethrower is pretty hard.
