I play to what I fweel the situation at hand calls for. What Imean is, sometimes I need to use stealth and one or two well placed shots. Other times I need to provide my own "cover fire" and joust for a bunker. other times call for a bunkering move and yet other times I buy time by snap shooting until I get support and gain more angles on an opponent. Realizing what will work best and knowing how to execute it well is what separates the players from the guys heading to the DZ. ;)

Thats what I realize so hen I'm snap batteling I'll be weighing in all the differant options. My friend will just go for one.

I have an A5 and tend to like it more than double triggers

i have a 98 custom now and i don't shoot enough. i always get out because i'm out shot by everyone with e-grips and response triggers. i'm thinking about trading in for an ion next time i play. i alos hurt my wrist pretty bad in track so holding my 98 custom hurts because of all of the wait in the front. i picked an ion last time i played and fell in love. i was going to trade my 98 custom them but the guy who is selling it wasn't there so i coudn't negogiate my trade.

i think the amount of shooting depends on the player because my friend and i were shooting 98 customs in a game with unliomited paintballs [the rest of the games are hopperball] and my friend shot his hole hopper and 4 pods and i only shot 150 rounds. i was the last man standing on my team too. don't get me wrong, a faster gun will make a person want to shoot faster but i am very conscious about how much paint i use. my first time playing i used only 300 rounds in a day. i didn't really do much but it was fun none the less. we also showed up later than usual and left earlier which meant i missed 2 or 3 games. now i use upwards to 1000 paintballs in 8 games. how much paint i shoot also depends on my role in the overall strategy that the team i'm on uses. if i play something like dagger, i will shoot less pasint than if i played broadsword.

how much paint you use depends on few key factors:

-what position you play
-how fast your gun can shoot
-how conscious you are about how much paint you have left

other factors include:

-how much games you play in a day
-how long you stay in the game
-how much paint you lend to a friend [you'll use less if you lend more right?]

A salty old dog at the field this weekend challenged me to play for the one-shot all day. I refilled my hopper on the field once all day, which was pretty interesting. Personally, as a beginner dagger, I'm looking to keep that route going. I'm considering the X7 with a flatline, because I still want to be able to lay cover fire if I absolutely need to, but I like the idea of playing pump as a dagger.

One thing to keep in mind though is a gun that can shoot 15bps can shoot 1 bps but a ball that can shoot 2 bps cannot shoot 15 bps.

I agree with waht your saying, but I love having the high firepower in case I'm in a pickle. I take the same amount of shots as I would with a slower gun, but at a faster rate. I'm more of a burst person than an automatic type. I'll run up and fire quickly to keep the enemies heads down, then pummel them with another 3 shots, just enought to get the job done, with out using to much ammo.

thats what i want to eventually be like. but with my new shocker its hard not to overshoot now. Its all about control if i have to i'll go out with 50 balls to train myself.

btw very cool sig
coming soon flashy graphics

I'm thinking about getting a Mini or something like that. I usually only shoot in three round bursts(most of my kills have 2 or 3 bloches on them) but when my partner and I are leap-frogging and we get noticed, we just shift so the person in fron gives cover and we just keep on leap-frogging. That and when I try and intercept as the other team is running I tend to shoot more to try and get them to run into a stream of paint. My 98C can shoot pretty fast when need be.

Personally I advice against 3 round burst for many reasons. First of all if you get a mini you should be able to shoot pretty fast on semi, 15 bps for sure. Now the problem with 3 round burst is obviously the situations where you want to shoot once. Like sneak attacks, or someone has their back to you. Shooting someone 3 times in the back from 20 feet away when you could have shot them once bothers me. Also you have more control over your ROF. Thats just how I feel about it though.

I use an a5 with a collapsible stock and a5a2 handguard. Might upgrade to rt soon for those bad situations.

I play with a VSC phantom and I say practice, practice, practice. Practice snap shots, long shots and bunker pushes. The vsc is so light and maneuverable and even though mine only holds 10rnds I can still pop off muiltiple rounds quikly to get me bunker to bunker and even up on someone to bunker them. Learn your marker.

Slow, steady, consistanly placed shots can efficiantly accomplish most jobs that 15+bps will. 15-20bps is good for laning(sweet spoting) when you assume someone will be trying to ran through the determand path and its good for pounding through brush to bust through a opponents poorly chosen bunker. But I believe as a dagger you would leave those tasks to your teammates as they provide cover.

The only thing that affects how I play is if the particular marker makes me nervous that I'm going to break it or not. I tend to back off the aggressive play with my more expensive guns in the woods because I don't wanna have to retime them or scratch up the finish or anything. Give me a blowback or a pump in the woods and I'm always at the very front line of the game. Hell I played with my brother's tippmann the other day and I was slamming it around crashing into bunkers and stuff, having the time of my life. Wasn't scaring too many people off field since they kept the regulars pretty well dispersed between the teams but I was fairly effective.

Any high end marker worth its title can take abuse in the woods. My marq 7 has gone through hell and back. I've had scratches and bruises all over my arm and the marker in one piece.

I try not to think "I still have 500 rounds left" but try to go into every game thinking "how few rounds can I use and still be effective?". Usually I play for 7 hours, go through 280 rounds and still end with a good number of kills. In general I run the no-pod-hopper-ball style of play. As for my marker, its a A5 PDW MP5 with a JCS stock, 10 inch Opsgear fluted barrel, and a NCStar reflex sight.

I have an a5, and I tend to go through a lot of paint already. I think that i shoot as fast as i need to with my a5, so I havnt thought of getting a ion or cocker or anything.
