Going shirtless isn't a bad idea. Long as you don't mind pain. ^^ Around where I live, there is a small group of guys called the SHIRT LESS WONDERS who, guess what! Play shirtless! XD They play scenario games and for the final battle, they still play shirtless.

The only real important thing of playing shirtless is that you be able to take the slightly extra pain.

We are going to tie my friend up to a tree and take 3 stock a5's and a 98 at him . He wants to do it and my parents say its ok  ill post the vid on these forums after we do it !

Please for the love of god don't do that. Seriously. If you do DO NOT POST IT HERE. Or consider yourself on a nice vacation. WE DO NOT CONDONE reckless behavior with markers like that. Tying him up, like he is a prisoner, then shooting him, just no. Seriously. I don't care if he signs a waver and you have him on video saying its ok. Just NO. Posted Image

I think I can take the pain. In fact, I've been doing stupid stuff like this my entire life, I wanted to grow up to be a stunt person. Long story short, if I could get up onto it, I would jump/ride my bike off of it.

Here's a photo of the Nudy-Boys they show up for every Michigan Monster Game. Great guys. I had one of them as a body guard at Tippmann vs. World when we went on a bombing rade. Nice group of guys but you got to wonder about them.

I play shirtless for 2 reasons:
Heat. In the peak of summer, I overheat easily. What can I say? Im Norwegian - I wasn't built for a warm climate. So when the temp. gets into the upper 90s, I strip down for speed. Otherwise I collapse in a gasping heap after a flag run, and thats embarrasing for my team-mates to watch...

Freak factor. Dont underestimate the macho factor! Playing shirtless shows a contempt for pain that makes many other players nervous (especially if you are using a pump or just a pair of pistols). people expect the shirtless guy to play crazy, and their expectations drive me to live up to them & play to the max. The bullseye on my chest (see pic in previous post) is sheer bravado, nothing more than smack talk in graphic form - my way of saying "give it your best shot buddy"

Expect bleeding welts, and you might wanna watch if your gonna slide into anything, like if you superman dive onto a stick or something, that would really suck. Or if your running and you catch a branch, or you behind someone and they push a branch at it hits you. That would hurt alot, and if you have any pine trees, don't try to crawl or slide near them, the needles on the ground will really hurt. And really watch for thistles, thorns, poison ivy and any other pointy or irritating plant.

I go in a straight up O.D. t-shirt or cut off shirt all the time and it isn't bad at all, I can't imagine no shirt would be much worse.

I wear a shotgun vest to hold my 12g's and 10rd tubes. Thats it. I will also occasionally play without anything up top, but then I am lacking paint/ air since I play in nylon shorts in the summer.

tee hee, I went to D-day at Skirmish in '05 wearing no shirt, and I covered half of my torso in woad (the blue scottish warpaint from braveheart)

here's a pic of me before the game

The funny thing was that I never got hit in the blue part, and woad is in scottish lore magic armor. I guess that stuff works  I got winged a couple of good times (in the squishy white part) and it kinda hurt, but I will still say that it hurts not nearly half as bad as getting hit in freezing knuckles. What you may want to consider is a) doing some sit ups or something so you're not disgusting to look at without your shirt, B ) WEAR SUNSCREEN! my worst injury ever from paintball was the 2nd degree burn and sun poisoning I got on the white half of me the weekend I played shirtless...

other then that... don't rub up on trees and take lots of pictures ;)

Playing paintball shirtless is like frying bacon in the nude. Only more expensive.
