whats the point of cheating?

I posted up all my last years plays i could find and then i deleted them because this year i am starting with a whole new team.
The points thing is nice but i see it as more of a guide to how poor or good of a player you are and if you should work harder or not

I like to keep a record of how many people I've killed and how many times I have died, whats the point in lying about that? you dont really know for sure how you did when you lie and look back at it later.its cool to have a place to record your games.
friends dont let friends cheat.

Why lie about it??? That is not going to make you any better. I like to keep track of of my kills and deaths. That way i can see how do from game to game.

Why? I've been playing since 1986. The way the brigade is set up, those years of experience are enough to qualify me for Master Sargeant. If I could remember anll the games I played and could logged them who knows where I'd be.
2 games/ month (average) x 8 months/year x 19 years = 304 x 50 pts/ game= 15200pts + 2370 current points = 17570 points. That's above Commanding General.

Damn I wish I had kept records of all the games.

We have left our points system wide open for cheating and it will get harder and harder to cheat the points system. Right now the years people have played is wide open as well as the game log and gear. Shoot is there anything that is not open for a little embelishment? We are not stressing it much but it's on our minds and obviously anybody that tries to get props for anything fake would be so obviously exposed down the road it's not really worth it. Yes... you could tweak your stats but if you tried to cash in on them by way of benefits with store orders or accepting an invitation to our Home Field... well those dinks will be exposed and you can imagine the rest.

The most common form of stat tweaking is on peoples gear lists. Many people will list each individual pod and get points... same if they have five 12oz tanks etc etc. We did not say you COULD'NT however we assumed....and you know assumption is a mother! That will change in the future as well as many other things but for now even though the brigade is rapidly growing there are SO many things that are coming up that it makes OUR head spin.

Also when I visualized the stats and game log (yes it was me) I envisioned a little more detailed log entries as opposed to (12 kills and 5 deaths remarks= "fun game ")
I was hoping people would share war stories in more details with each day of play but that is something that not everybody will be into and that is fine. If you check out all my game logs I have left a pretty good description of how I was feeling and how the day of play went as I have participated in some amazing games and would like to share with people if they are willing to read my log entries.

All in all you guys in a sense STILL are our beta testers (and always will be :P ) and will be respected by the new members as you gain more and more points and we get more and more new members of the Brigade. We totally value all of your great feedback and everybody here has been such a great help and really supportive of what we are trying to create for the woodsball community.

Cheers to all your honesty.

Sometimes though people dont have time to. I know me an a few guys last weekend had limited time on the net so we just put down our stats. One of them doesnt have net, 3 of them have limited time, and the other was gonna be grounded form it. And we had a Halo 2 tourney to finish(which i won =p), so we had limited time at my house as well so we wrote it quickly.

A good idea(IMO) is get a local friends list or a list of brigade members you played with so if somthign does look really fishy you could always ask. The worst that could happen is that they all prearrange a massive cheat and dont fib on each other. Well...i suppose that helps their teamwork...
Like i played with Terminator, Lucifer(not on the forums yet), and Tippman. I know Lucifer had liek 12 kills and 0 Deaths that game which he truely did. I actually think he had more but I told him not to put it so high because it looked a lil fishy. He's actually my spotter so you can tell where he gets it form =P. I had like 5-0. Normally its the other way around but i had a 'bounty' on my head so if i was ever spotted i would be the rabbit and lead them to him. Or act as a decoy and let him flank.

Plus, by know he knows my woods pretty well so we had a big advantage. But I'll shut up and get it back on topic.

Some people are that good. Whether it be they're playing newbs/n00bs or they had the upper hand in some way. So if you see that they ahd a lot of kills see if its a pattern or if it was just that one day, dont jump to likely conclusions til you have a pretty good idea. Even if they do have a pattern see if its always the same group of peopel or if its a homefield, if they had them outnumbered, if it was a bunch of cocky speedballers, etc. You might wanna ahve more forms like ask how many players, what was their average exp., did anyone have an advantage, etc. And an Edit button to the description of the stats. I know i would've liked to have gone back and made my logs longer but at the moment i didnt have any time.

You are able to edit your stats after the fact. Look on the far left of your game logs and you will see little (x and +) buttons. Click those to either edit or delete your stats!!
