I've had mine for a while now and just love them. They locking mechanism is east to open by just sliding your thumb down.Posted Image
It holds a 150 rounds and is strong and easy to clean.
Posted Image
Playing speedball it fits into my Redz harness well and the lock keeps it closed so I'm losing $$ from a pod opening.I'd recommend these pods to just about anybody.

My problem with the Dye pods are that I cant open it in more than one place...With regular pods I can flip the top more than just the point opposite the hinge...

I got that but it literally takes my like half a second to turn it so my thumb slides on it.I forgot to mention the bumps on the side help with having paint soaked fingers or gloves.I believe the beneifts the locklid has are greater thatn the time needed to spin it to the right spot to open. It's better than reching back grabbing a pod and dropping it or finding it already popped open so you lost a pod and now your wasting time with an empty pod.

I also run these pods and have to say they are the best. I have fallen directly onto a pod via a not very graceful fall. The pod was a little worse for wear but is by no means unusable. I have fallen on other pods and had them shatter.

As for the only being able to open them from one spot.. I simply spend a little extra time in the prep area making sure all the pods are lined up correctly. Now when i pull the pod out it is always right where I need it to be. Presto no more need to fumble with it.

The biggest downfall to these pods is the price. They can get expensive if you are not really good at policing pods after a game. They also do not fit into some smaller pod holders due to thier extra size.

All in all these are well worth the investment for me and I am never afraid to recommend them to others.

KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN, MINDS CLEAR, AND GUNS ON POINT!!!!

Here comes that crazy BULL!!!!!!!!

some of the pod harnesses with just the clip belts and stuff will not hold them and some of the more expensive packs won't either but most will. It's better to check first. My loclids will fit my buddies empire faspack not very well but they will and they will my fit my Redz pack perfect. If your looking at using them just ask someone if they have a locklid or ask the store to see you could test one in your pack. It's not a big deal.I've also taken falls on my pods and squished them, and everything you can think of to them and they still hold up extremely well.

I absolutely love these things. Used to break open pods in my pack or vest all the time. Not anymore.

Same here.

I do like the capacity because they fill a almost empty halo the the top and they do not break easily or at all really.

I love em. Have used em for both my PB vests and will get another set for my 3rd. Can't be happier.

I love them because the bumps hold them in my dagger vest. The elastic loops. And I know the pod will not come open when i am running. It is well worth the money.

If you baseball slide with them on, they'll open real quick. 2 of my pods did that when I baseball slid.

Luckily, I was using SHIZZLY [I DON'T WASH MY HANDS AFTER I WIPE] paint. :D

I won't touch regular pods again - Dye locklids (DLL's!) all the way.

If you SHOOT a regular pod, it breaks. You can throw a DLL and it won't likely break.

BTW: DLL's hold about 160-paintballs, not 150.

I love 'em - except I had a problem where one of my lids stopped "clicking" shut properly and I spilled a whole pod!
