The sock puppets of doom were primerily used to create confusion and fear in th staging area friday night!
They were seen crusing the fields riding shotgun on their owner gear as the games were played....but there was little to no attempt at the puppets being used to demoralize the opposition.

It seems the puppets were held on a short leash by their owners.

The world is safe once again.

The sock puppets were relatively well behaved on the field.

There was one incident where a sock puppet was used as a grenade against a
group of opposing players at swing base...

Player; "Ref, I'm using the sock puppet of doom on that bunker" .. *tosses*

** Pause **

Opposing player; "Ref, what the hell does that do?"

** Pause **

Ref; "nothing"

Opposing player; "Oh, Okay"

** Laughter by all **

However, the sock puppets were instrumental in preventing about a dozen
friendly fire incidents & we have confirmed Krazy8's report that sock puppets were
also seen hitching a ride on random -XF- players and equipment.

Based on first-hand reports from the field, there were also numerous
sightings of previously unseen sock puppets, which closely resembled
various players, referees and SPPL staff.

However, all reports of a successful mating between rogue sock puppets and
anatomically-correct inflatable sheep were completely false.

While I did not mention anything on the field, I must say I did take some issue to XF playing with 20 players on the field. I think that for next year, we will have to have a special determination in the rulebook on whether or not sock puppets count as players. :D

You guys are sick

BTW... I believe that in the second picture from the bottom, that the sock puppet caused that player to be able to levitate. That can not be legal.
