I have been either reading paintball magazines or on special ops and I come across this. It's where they have the tank flipped and facing towards the barrel to balance it. I was hoping to do this once I get my Inspire BFG and shorten the mag. Is there an article on how to do this properly or something I can read up about it?

You basically just need a reversed ASA, you can do it yourself very easily.

Your best bet is to find someone on a forum that has done it and PM them, as far as i know there arent any 'how to' guides as its a pretty standard mod.

Sorry i cant advise, i use a remote line.

While it can be done, I would not recommend it unless you're looking at a 13ci tank or something of similar size (for CO2, a 9oz or 3.5oz would be the limit).

You'll find that it quite likely ruins the balance of the gun with a large tank underneath it.

Try it if you would like, though I would not be surprised if you either end up returning it to normal or going remote.

The only difficulty with the BFG is going to be the location of the air line.
The air line come out of the center front of the asa...to turn that around you would be better off purchasing an on/off asa that has the air line attached to the side. Just easier than buying a bunch of fittings and try to figure out a good route...safer too. Less fittings = less chance of failure.

Are you talking about running it "Hawaiian" style? Lemme find a pic...

that's pretty easy. Or are you talking like the old PMI-3?

That's my old VM-68 Magnum, the 140 pods are there for size reference. But under the barrel, you see that expansion chamber? Originally, that's where you screwed the tank into the gun, with no tank under the grip. Yes, it was a beast.

Dude, I know the guy who owns that gun, just thought I had to say something.

The rubber duck is awesome, I think every time I've played with him hes gotten a comment about it.
