the game dates have been changed to Oct 15/16. Not the 8/9 of oct.

Dr. Loveless vs. James West

This will be a loosely take off of the old TV show. Randy said he will bring out the old train for this game.
If you have not played a First Strike Game with the "TRAIN" then your in for a great game.

more info later.

Talk to Randy about a sooner game. I'm good to go with a sooner game.

Gonna check with Randy about doing that Toys for Tots game in early December if you are available. Also wondering if you would consider an early summer charity game? I want to go all out with making it a true family weekend. Lots of activities on and off the field plus lots of food. I want to include everything in the entry price other than paint. I really want to get more families involved and also raise a large boatload of mula for the foundation. Any ideas would be appreciated. I have asked Randy, but still waiting an answer. I'm sure hes a little tired from this weekend. I have also contacted Tippmann, Pinokio, and Valken about sponsoring this event. Of course I would like this to be the largest "manageable" event in this area. I really appreciate your help and guidance in this adventure.

Looks like I'll be ordering two Goblin Deuce Micro Pistols for some in game pistols gun fights. ;)

I see some gun fight mission cards coming up for this game. This will be fun!

Mit use the First Srike rounds.

I love the train, however the rules need to change. Last game we had a great mission. Get on the train and just circumnavigate the field. Easy right. SO we grabbed a ref, a medic, and a team and off we go, welllll major fire fights break out; we were looking through the board slats on the side of the train and shooting over the top. Problem is it looked like we were blind fireing. Second because we had the medic we kept on in the fight. Third because the firefight was so intense the refs on the train hit the deck.

SO, there was all this yelling and screaming on side A accusing "you guys cheat!" On the other side "No we had a medic and could see through the slats". In the end we worked it all out and shook hands, and now we have a great story.

The mission itself is great, but maybe no medics on a train, or the medic option doesn't work on a train.

Bottom line the train rocks and looking forward to the second round.

I really like the theme of the game. What kid didn't want to be a cowboy or an evil genius. I of course went the way of the evil genius. I like the train idea, but a medic would make it near impossible to kill everyone on the train. You could have some type of "Magic bullet" law thingy that the generals could buy. If there are several "navigate the field" missions, then only allow a lesser amount of West's magic ammo. Then you could weigh out whether you would choose to use up your gold or risk letting them get the points for completion. I can't remember his name, but he was always coming up with 007 kinda stuff.

No medics on the train for sure. Plus we were talking about putting a pool net cleaner (fish hoop net) on both sides of the train so a nerf round would have to go inside to stop the train. Also which ever side has control of the train the may need to lay track down so they could move the train up. They would have to run a 100' rope out in front of the "stopped" train, mark the spot with some thing, and then the train could move up.Just some of the ideas we are kicking around. if you got any more ideas on the use of the train, post them up here.
