I'm a bigger guy 6'2 195 and I was wondering what stock I should get. I currently run remote and would like to get a stock. Also I was wondering if air-thru makes a big difference when you run remote. Please vote.

Running an Air-Thru Stock depends on which Tippmann Marker you have?

Also the choices on Stocks depends on how you play on the field and if you wish to replicate your favorite Assualt Gun.

Well in that case, an Air-Thru Stock would be useless with a 98, because drilling a Hole to either side of the 98's body to run the Air Line or getting extra Air Fittings to run the Air Line would be required.

But, heres a much better way to run the Remote Line directly into you 98's Power Tube.

Female to Male Extension

Quick Disconnect NPT Nipple

Remove the Steel Braided Hose from the Power Tube and screw in the Extension (also wrap Teflon Tape on the Threading) and with the NPT Nipple (again wrap some Teflon Tape on the Threading), screw it into the Extension.

The NPT Nipple should be stick out like what I did on my 98 below, which is actually much better than using an Air-Thru Stock.

And I recommend a Tapco 6 Position Car Stock with your 98, which is the same Car Stock on my 98 above.

^^nice 98
i personally like the airthrough commando stock because it offers pretty good eye clearance and the airthrough does make a difference. i run my remote very similiarly to how evil fingers has his in the picture, but i dont really like how it stretches out. i've tried my friends 98c with a commando stock and loved it.
edit: evil what kinda grips are those on your 98, they arent the stock ones right?

Not at all. Just look at the Air-Thru Commando stock on mine, in the Sale link in my sig. Came with the hose, and all I had to do was screw it in to the powertube.

If you run remote, there's no reason not to go Air-Thru.

I voted other. Just because I'd reccomend just using your air tank instead.

Or a T stock.

Thanks for the compliments and actually, that pic is just an illustration on what can be done to a 98, the one below is the Finished Job with an Air Thru Magazine I put together by using Rap4 M4 Marker Parts, a 5" Steel Braided Hose, an Air Fitting and the same NPT Nipple in the first pic.

As for Stretching (as you say) the Remote Line, that depends where the Tank is located, my Tank sits in a MOLLE Compatible Tank Pouch (Rap4.com) on a MOLLE Leg Rig (AirsoftExtreme.com) on my right thigh, no stretching of the Remote Line and Im able to switch hands, depending on which side of the Bunker or Wall that Im taking Cover and Firing from.

You are correct...that isnt the Stock Grip that originally came with the 98, its a One Piece Rubber Wrap Around that I got for free from a Pro Shop that went out of business here in SF a few years ago and its was really comfortable to hold, in fact the same Rubber Wrap Around Grip can be found at Airsoldier.com.

SAW Stock ftw i love mine... I shoot lefty so i couldn't get a commando and it has a nice flip up metal piece so it can rest on/ is easy to shoulder. You should at least consider the SAW stock.

I currently have a car stock. Its a decent stock, but I can't aim. If you want to actually aim, I would personally buy the Dogleg, because you can aim down it.
