Check it out...
My new Phantom with stock barrel bored for Freak inserts by O'Dells Paintball. I have to give him a plug because he did it with only a 1 DAY TURN AROUND! How's that for service? I couldn't even get some other vendors to respond to my emails for this service.

Congratulations, that's a pretty fast turn around.

Totally support Odell, but never saw any improvement with a freak on a phantom.

Well, freakin' out a Phantom does six things, three good three bad:

Good:
*Prevents rollouts with mismatched paint
*Can slightly improve accuracy by tightening the fit of the ball
*If done properly (bored 3/4" shorter than the insert) takes up the dead space in the breech the standard barrel leaves, getting the Phantom that much closer to bore drop

Bad:
*Weakens barrel
*Makes cleaning harder
*Supports Smart Parts :)

Pretty obvious one group outweighs the other, for the vast majority of people. I'm a hater, though. If Equation was still making inserts for the Bizerk kit, trust me, I'd get my Sterling bored.
Feedback.

I saw no improvement in accuracy, or efficiency off 12grams (you didn't mention that, but some do), and a $4 bottle of nailpolish is not only cheaper, but easier, as I don't have to size paint depending on what balls I am shooting, it fits em all.

To each his own, but I don't see any reason for barrel kits, to be honest.

I suppose their a little easier to deal with than detent rings. It's certainly not enough to make we want to buy freak inserts.
