RESIDENT EVIL: Invasion of Terror by Mission Masters
Three Rivers Paintball - October 23, 2010

Posted Image Posted Image

THE STORY:
After the fall of the Soviet Union, the Russian government abandoned many subsidized factories and facilities. A chemical plant located in the Caucusus was one such casualty. Years passed until this factory was purchased by the Umbrella Corporation and retrofitted with state-of-the-art laboratory equipment to become the Umbrella Caucusus Research Facility. It is now headquarters of Sergei Vladmir, one of Umbrella's most prominent leaders and a former Red Army Colonel.

Scraps of evidence collected from Umbrella's evil private island are traced to operations performed by the Caucusus Research Facility, including the sale of bio-organic weapons (B.O.W.s) on the black market. In response, a private bio-terrorism unit raided the facility discovering a front for conducting secret experiments and mass production of B.O.W.s. It is believed none of the unit survived the raid, but their desperate and final communications confirmed suspicions: The facility is of critical importance to Umbrella as it maintains an extensive research, development, and production program allowing the corporation to sell their bio-weapons in secrecy. Incomplete raid intel hinted at a well protected and expansive underground laboratory.

Over the past few years, former STARS members founded and trained new teams of specialists known as the "Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance" (BSAA). The BSAA Network employs a wide variety of skilled personnel and advanced technology that are prepared to respond to biohazard threats all over the world. In October 2010, the newest BSAA Team is assembled for deployment in Russia to infiltrate and destroy the Umbrella Caucusus Research Facility.

Will you choose to discover and battle the dark evils of the Umbrella Caucusus Research Facility with the STARS and the BSSA ~OR~ will you join the Invasion of Horror about to be unleashed on Russia by the recently exposed and sinister Umbrella Corporation?

Join us for the most anticipated Mission Masters event of the year at Three Rivers Paintball Park to decide who will reign supreme in the latest survival horror epic! See you there!

Just curious, guys... is this storyline a part of the Resident Evil mythos in some way, or is it completely MM-original? Seems to me it actually ties into the 'Year at War' theme, with the Red Army flavor and the international anti-terror spin on S.T.A.R.S.

Lee - - Thanks for the compliment - I thought it would crown the "Year at War" nicely as well. Actually, it's an evil twist of both. RE fans will recognize familiar elements of the RE world while the story is modified and translated into the best paintball fun and action possible. You can get more familiar with this theme by searching terms and images such as "RE5, UBCS, BSAA, Sergei Vladmir". The clues are in the hook. It is not overshadowed by the Red Army - though the setting is Russia. That's about all I can say without giving too much away!

Cool. I actually forgot that RE was a video game before it was a movie. I'm only familiar with the movie side of the franchise.

Some of the older ones are are PS1/2. But Id highly recommend RE4 and RE5. They should be for PS3 or 360.

I'll be there for sure. First time out since the UWL. Confirmed a sitter for the day and have the money aside. Should be a nice way to break in my 2k9 Micromag...or my freshly ano'd automag. :)

Cool, thanks! I'll pick one of them up.

BTW, the youtube vid you guys did reviewing & endorsing the BT TM-7 was a major factor in my purchasing one, and you were right. Used it at WW3 and I'm absolutely IN LOVE with the thing. Thanks!
