also, how would i prevent my gun from getting ruined (98 custom)?
Welcome students to the course Paintball and Rain please take your seats and I will begin...
First rule of thumb when playing in the rain is to remeber paintballs hate it. Not only do they not like rain but cold and rain are possibly the bain of their existence. When dealing with the 2 please make sure to put your paintballs in a dry place out of the harm of rain. Make sure the surface it lies in is dry and will remain dry through out the day.
Second rule: know your gun, if you shoot a low to mid end electro know that these guns have little to know protection to getting wet especially depending on the design of the gun i.e dual stack, or closed spool valve. Take great precaution in protecting all electric guns but especially the ones that may not have water tight grip frames. A poncho over the gun is always a good quick solution.
If you shoot a Mech (no electronics) such as a Custom 98 you will be happy to know that these guns are extreemly rugged and can take the rain with little to no modification. In the case of the 98 you can drop it in a river pick it up change out the paintballs and keep firing it with no trouble.
That's all the time today class but remember Monday is quiz day on your sylabus and also our first project titled "Why I will never shoot an Angel" is due on the 30th of this month
