I just bought a delta .68 pistol. I know i'm at an obviouse disadvantage against better paintball markers. the thing is thought,,, i've had an a-5 [with response trigger and all that] and i currently have an MR1 [which surprisingly, i like MUCH BETTER], these guns are cool and all, but i think personally i would have much more fun playing with a pistol. just i different kind of feel. i think some advantages are being able to run open handedly. and not have to carry a large marker everywhere. and manueverabillity and speed [i just destroyed the spelling of that word] in a light rifleman is important and i think a pistol would give me that AND add to my skill. with less shots and co2. do you guys think the pistol could be a fun marker or am i an idiot?

-thanks
ray

Of course it would be fun! I play stock class paintball and I usually have a lot more fun, use less paint, and improve more than when I'm using a semi. Look at this thread,

It's for discussion for people who use pistols as their primaries. Check it out.

Playing pistol only rocks but you made a single mistake. you picked up the Delta 68. You are going to have many problems with the Oring where the 12 gram is pierced.

QFT. I had a Delta 68, and it was nothing but trouble.

I bought a Tiberius 8 last fall, and I love it.

Playing pistol is fun (and in the winter, it's almost all I do at the indoor airball field). Pumps are also fun too for the same reason as playing pistol.

I'm a fan of going PO on the field. It makes the game alot more interesting, like playing a video game on the hardest setting or doing a 15 mile run while holding anaerobic pace... I'm a fan of challenges.

Its called stock class, go to the pump section and you'll find out more. If you want to use lest paint and co2 and be a true killer thats the way to do it. But using just a pistol is like playing stock class and it will improve your skill.

Here is some interesting info that may be of help.

Off-topic, those suffering with Delta68s should try RAP4s(I know!) new piercing valve for the T68 pistol. For $5 you can get a pierce pin that uses a single nylon washer like a phantom(in fact phantom washers fit) instead of that LAME O-Ring!!! I've modded a few friends Deltas(they are interchangeable) with these and they shoot crosman 12ies forever!!!

I tried it a few times a while back, its an interesting game to play. I originally had, and still have, my Splatmaster, then thought I was upgrading by buying a Delta 68 like you. I played 2 games with the Delta and sold it, back to the Splatmaster. It's like playing Stock Class and Pistol Only at the same time, one heck of a challenge. Give it a shot and see how you like it.

I've played stock class and that's fun, but I'd sell the Delta 68 and buy something else like a T8, or a PGP. There are also some other pistols like the Zeuses and Overlords.

I've tried playing pistol before. It was good and bad.
First time I played with a zues g2 with speed gate and I loved it. It was a blast.
But then I baught a tac 8. I hated playing with it. The mags were a pain in the butt.

Overall pistol play is great but I guess it depends on the type of gun your using.

I use a pgp, stock class and pistol at the same time. Its awesome. Aiming is a new experience, and looking and shooting from a corner are amazing new experiences. Its addictive.

Got a squall coming eventually. ;]

I'm sorry. Can you take it back? If so, I'd do it and buy a Warsensor Zeus or a Miltec G2.

warden wolf is straight on in the blowback department, at least according to Agent Smith who is a good pistol player. We had a great little convo on the subject in this thread,

I play stockclass which, as previously stated, is similar to pistol play. I enjoy this type of play. Although it was frusturating when I started, stockclass has honed my skills and I am much more aggressive. Oh, and the kidies always think you're a god. :P

When I see Rob tomorrow, I am going to have to let him know he is quickly becoming an Spec Ops celeberty. I am going to be playing my first big game this weeking only using a pistol. I did some pistol play at sherwood, but this weekend its all about, me, 12grams and the Automag Pistol. It is deffinatly alot of fun, I recomend everyone try it atleast once.
