It seems like a stupid question, but I see this posted in several people's signatures "RIP SO Paintball." Is the company officially dead/dying or what?

MOATI has left the company, which i believe makes him the last original Utah Spec Ops guy to leave. Therefore, the original Spec Ops is dead.
a lot of speedballers haven't realized that their $500+ guns can, in fact fire one round at a time.

I was aware of MOATI leaving, but didn't know the Utah staff thing. Makes sense.
